I would bet that a high number of city fans going to this live closer to Wembley than to the Etihad and won't feel inconvenienced by either the venue or the time.
I doubt that’s true in the slightest. Just because some kids in Oxford and Reading and buy a City shirt with Haaland on the back doesn’t make them anymore a City fan as it did British kids wearing Michael Jordan vests in the 90s Chicago Bulls fans.

The vast majority of those going to this will be proper City fans from around the North West, like it always is.

This, I heard that foreign supporter club membership sales has more than doubled for this season. So it was pretty obvious that it would sell out despite the boycott.
I doubt very many foreign members will travel for it. I also don’t know where anyone would know how many foreign members have joined would get that information from.

Think you’re wrong here. A very small number of tickets had sold by the time sales reached all season ticket holders. Over 25k sold since it went to 4 tickets for cityzens members.

Will be a lot of southern and london based people our end, and you’d imagine it will be the first ever City game for a lot. The vast majority of regulars haven’t bothered with this one by all accounts.

Mini bus hired… Following yesterday’s sesh I was talked in to hiring a mini bus for this match, as a few of the lads have gotten tickets for their kids and grandkids, I was going to be driving down anyway, so now I’ve a full bus of 16 of which 8 are under 10 who’ve never been to a live match never mind Wembley 3 other under 15 first trip to Wembley, and one of the dads first trip to Wembley as well.
Tourist’s, JCL’s call em what you want, they’re blues.
Maybe in another generation
When other lads have come to take our place
They'll carry on the glory of the City
Keeping City in first place.

Why , there are thousands of regular matchday day fans that live all over the country that will have bought tickets and maybe taking family and children with them because , unusually , they can.
Most likely nearly all the fans there will be fans that have been to Etihad regularly before and could be living anywhere. A fair few of which will be S/C holders even if only 25% of S/C holders go thats 10,000.

It was always going to happen with the success.

Utd did it..............we slagged them off for years. Now it's us. The bandwagon is truly rolling.

Get on boarrrrrrrd.................(not the double deckers)
Yeah, but we're 'proper' JCL's, Glory Hunters, Bandwagon Jumpers, Plastics, King Prawn Sandwich eaters, unlike the Rags. :-)

It's London, Its a weekend, it's during the holiday season, its Wembley, tickets available, you can buy 4, first chance for many new fans to go to a game..

I think you need to get a official supporter number from the club when you register as a new member at a foreign branch. That's how they know.
