In the past we haven't taken the Community shield too seriously - Liverpool and Leicester getting the upper hand. Must have win to put the skids under Arteta and Arsenal. Pep's only lost once in 10 games against them since Arteta left the Etihad and this must continue to silence Jesus and Zinchenko.

i think they were well and truly put back in the box last season, battered twice in the league and knocked out of a cup!

No doubt if the Goons win it will be a marker for the season but if we win its only a friendly , i have little interest in the result but if its anything like last season when the Dippers were awarded the league title and Nunez player of the season after the thrashing they handed out :) i will have a chuckle when the Goons get similar treatment with Rice is named as a potential Balon D'Or winner.
What really matters is May 2024 and who the trophies are handed out to.

Apparently we sold out our full allocation and were given extra tickets which have also sold out.

Fair plays though to all that stuck to their guns with the boycott. Like me, we'll all miss it like mad but at least some positive came from it with them changing the KO time.

Just hope that it might make the powers that be (including City) start to think about us a bit more. It's not too much to ask.
