If the vote is anything to go by so far, only 1 in 6 City fans are going to the match. I appreciate it will be different when you factor in all the new fans and fans who normally can’t get a ticket. But if that ratio of fans boycotting the game remains the same, we’d only sell about about 5000 tickets with a ticket allocation of 30,000 tickets. I don’t know the exact allocation of tickets for the match

We were happy to go to Wembley knowing trains & complications were going to be a massive problem against UTD, or all the Semi down there

We were happy inc me to go to shitty Istanbul knowing the massive problems that faced us which were fucking horrendous & now going out to Athens during a week where getting back late Thursday knowing we have a massive game against Newcastle 3 days later

Then we have 10 days in December having games cancelled for the world club champions coming back 22nd December ready for 26th,27th game & another on the 30th or knowing the Prem 31st December

If you don't go then our knew breed of day trippers (half & half scarf) people will go

We can't pick & choose when it suits, going to Wembley in the last 10 years has been a fucking pain but we have gone & it will be no different come Sunday 6th August

Only thing City control is whatever players Pep wants to put in & thats where I would just send u21's fucking end of

Sure Asia tour doesn't end till late July or early August, could be the reason it's Sunday unless people no different?

I get the day & time but it's nothing of a suprise imo
“Shitty Istanbul”....you must be a philistine or went to a very different city to 25000 other City fans.

For the record,Istanbul is one of the great City’s of the world with the most friendly and welcoming of locals.

True. But Pep and the players do care. This season has brought us closer together. Outside of Pep, players and the coaching staff, the people running the club are business people doing their job, regardless if they support City or not.
Pep and the players should opt out of in solidarity with the fans.

We are not contracted to play.

Yewnytid opted out of the FA Cup ffs !!

No chance - we'll get "They've just won a treble and can't fill Wembley, if that was *Insert random club who haven't averaged more than 30k fans in their entire history here* we'd have taken over London for that game!!"

Fuck football banter though.
Is the correct answer, and the authorities love that sort of attitude because rather than pull together on issues like this, too many football supporters would rather rip the piss out of each other, so nothing changes.
The one time football fans did pull together was to oppose the Super League and look what happened there.

People are really thick sometimes.

Poor take. If you want to go, that’s fine, you do that. However, this is the perfect opportunity to take a stand and show the FA we’re fucking sick of their shit.

If it was a Saturday or even an earlier kick off on Sunday, I’d have been there. However, 17:30 on a Sunday when we have work the following day and there’s two trains to catch is an absolute joke.

We face a several hour coach journey home, not getting back until the early hours, simply to appease the TV companies.

As I say, if you want to go, you do you, but don’t stand in the way of those that are sick of it and wish to make their views known.
Not a poor take at all. The powers that be really don't care and never will. Your view is different than mine. The location of the Istanbul stadium is proof of that but I still went and was glad I did.
