Well, the geniuses at the FA have done it again and showed absolute contempt and zero consideration for football supporters after announcing the time and date of the Community Shield. Football’s governing body have decided that treble champions Manchester City will face Arsenal on Sunday 6th August with a kick-off time of 5.30pm.

Imagine if they don’t? What a mute argument.

After seeing City do the treble, do you think I’m arsed about missing the Community Shield on a Sunday at 5:30pm?

Some City fans really do have a weird thought process.
I’m not arguing for or against it tbh. I don’t really care who goes or not I understand why people are upset and won’t go. That’s fair enough. I’ll most likely go planned boycott or not. Just because there’s a chance of winning 7 trophies (which may never happen again) and if we won the 7 it would be nice to say I seen them lift the lot. Me personally be raging if it came to this time next year and I seen them lift 6 but missed the CS because of a boycott. If it was a normal season where we didn’t play club World Cup or UEFA super cup I’d most likely bin the community Sheild

The ko time and day prevent me going in all honesty, so a personal boycott is forced on me. Anyone who was thinking of going should fuck this right off. Piss take of the highest order.

The FA have definitely something to improve here. The Community Shield is played in Wembley Stadium, which clearly benefits London teams, except when both or none of them are from there, which is not the case.

For me, there are two things the FA can do:
1. Choosing a different stadium every year to make sure its location doesn't benefit any team.
2. When, one of the teams is from London, making sure helping the disadvantaged team with things like ticket prices, match schedule, providing information about train/car routes, etc.

Clearly the FA don't care too much about this. A clear example is playing the FA cup semifinals also in Wembley, remember our semifinal against Sheffield United...

I don't know if boycotting the final is going to fix anything, but at least we're making this visible and hopefully in the future the FA cup will be a fair competition.

Plastic cup that means fuck all
It’s the least glamorous one of them all I get that and the chances of us lifting all 7 are very slim. I’m certainly not putting up and argument for people to go. I’m just say for me personally if I seen city lift the other 6 and missed out because of a boycott I’d be raging as this may never come around again
