Unpopular opinion but it seems very sad that our treble winners will be welcomed back to the new season with swaths of empty seats at Wembley. How many people backing the boycott would actually of gone anyway. It’s been at Wembley since 1974. Is it not the case that this is a buy product of our extraordinary success of late that we find ourselves in this fixture nearly every year. It’s unlikely we will get support of other clubs after the fantastic season we just had.
I understand the cost is an issue for many but if people want to go they shouldn’t feel guilty. For what it’s worth I would prefer the Spanish version of a curtain raiser. They call it the Spanish super cup and it two legs home and away.

I think the 17:30 Sunday kick off was ridiculous and 16:00 is only marginally better! But they could change it to Saturday, 3pm and I still wouldn't go because I'm just not that arsed about the CS!

Agreed. I understand it for people having to use trains or wanting a drink, but those same people made it work for an FA Cup Final on the day of a train strike didn't they? We have been so spoilt the last few years, all these good times will fall off a cliff once Pep leaves and people will regret not going to games like this.

Imagine even 10 years ago fans saying they're not going to a final at Wembley when we've just wiped the opposition off the map in a title race and won the treble, raggish behaviour. Some people aren't fulfilled unless they have something to moan about.

Those players and staff deserve to be walking out to a raucous atmosphere in front a packed Wembley after what they've achieved over the last 10 months. No home friendlies anymore means this is the first time English fans will get to see them since Istanbul. I will be there loud and proud, and whilst I support those with genuine grievances and limitations, I urge more to have a second think about their priorities and actual intentions behind their apparent boycott and do all they can to get there on the day to support the lads.

When was the last raucous atmosphere at a CS game at Wembley ??

Liverpool....during penalties ??

The team know about the boycott and will understand how pissed off we are about the whole shambles!!

Who knows what kind of team we'll put out following all our travelling.

Wouldn't surprise me if it included lots of CFA boys.

I hope it does, great experience for them and our fans will get right behind them.

Fuck the FA & the arse !!

Great post.

I will be there, the team deserve it.

Would be interesting how many would vote to return all weekend games to 3 pm Saturday, if it also meant a return to nobody but those in attendance being able to watch the game.

There is not one bit of your post I can agree with. How about we welcome them loud and proud at the first home game of the season. It's a friendly, Pep doesnt take it seriously as seen by his team selection. The whole point of the boycott is that it is the chance to tell the FA and the Premier League we are sick of being fucked over. The day, the time, the price, not just this match, the semi final and the finals. The Friday night 8pm's or a change of days only weeks before kick off. Not one ounce of thought ever goes into what the fans want. I wouldn't dream of supporting a boycott of a semi or final but this, yes. We've already shown they couldn't give a monkeys with the switch to 4pm.

I wonder how many would vote for a Saturday 3pm kick off with everyone being able to watch the match on TV. I'm sure Sky would love to put more games on but as always the fans are the ones who are ignored. We can't have a beer within sight of the pitch, we couldn't even stand for nigh on 30 years. We can't drink beer on a train or coach going to a match. We have to be locked in after a match. We are treated like shit and like sheep simply accept it.
