Well it doesn't have to be enforced. The only rule these days is you can't fake a shot at the end of a run up.

Sounded as if Guardiola said sinusitis, was certainly pointing towards his nose area when speaking, though I’m unsure. If Mahrez took something for that and was unable to show the club doctors the ingredients of the medication, then it is best not to play until it is out of the system.

The one and only rule in this regard is that you aren't allowed to fake a shot once you've completed your run up. There aren't any rules about the run up itself and therefore the penalty was fine.

He's done a couple like those before for Brazil, they were fine then too.
