So that makes 1000's City fans watching on TV cunts then. Nice.

Most fans have to prioritize what they spend their money on. A lot will have other commitments and can only watch on TV.

So don't tar those watching on ITV in one brush, with inane comments.

Just for clarity would you say those fans going to Villa Park are better or more committed fans than those who'll watch on TV?
you've missed the point
ive seen a lot of people my self asking for spare tickets, and there have been a stupid amount of topics on new plastic fans moving in and taking over, whilst the ones who remained loyal are being priced out. yet we've got 1000s seats left, im disapointed tbh
maybe who ever priced the kids tickets should be questioned rang yesterday £45 for me but wanted £70 for a 14 and 12 year old !!! just said sorry mate not paying that for 2 kids he agreed and said they had loads saying the same .2 mins later got a text from city tex from city telling me tickets available this only usually happens when they have got aload left ,everyone has their price and £122.50 was ours ! so are we cunts as well ?

Bought two tickets yesterday £90. Very steep indeed but I think a day on the ale and back to real football will hopefully make it worth the outlay

Got mine sorted.

Doug Ellis stand block Q3 Row L.

Cant find this on the Villa Park plans. Anyone sat close to this previously?

Never been to Villa Park before.

Think it`s at the end where the away fans are usually housed

the £45 in the world of tickets is just about ok but £35 for kids is totally unacceptable considering in the same phone call had bought them tickets for qpr for £5!

Completely agree. QPR will be my sons first game. It would have been Sunday if not for the price. He is nearly three and I wouldnt pay the 35 for him... Im ging though (Mean Dad)

pay £50 on ticket £100 on travel food and beer for a meaningless friendly
or
watch it on telly an potentially see my first born child enter the world a day later

I'm out

or put it another way £35 buys them 7 home matches ! have you told your son your going ? i think mine would have had me on ebay after dis owning me and joining their mum up to a dating agency !!

I can't believe tickets are still on sale, wasn't long ago most fans were bitching about only been allocated 13,500 tickets!

Yeah it may be a "pointless friendly" to some but its the first game of the season against the champions league winners.

People won't pay £35-45 for a ticket to a season opening event that allows you to win some sort of silverware (granted its no big trophy) but are happy enough to spend £50-60 on a ticket to go see Liverpool, Arsenal, QPR or Chelsea (who we're playing anyway) away?

If you want to go to a shit hole and pay £45 for a friendly then fair enough.

I wouldn't waste my time and money, although i'll watch it on tv if its on terrestrial - anyone know what channel its on?
