Community Shield - Ticket Categories

Being just a blue member, got a text on Saturday from City offering a ticket. Rang up and booked. Paid 47.50 as the woman said they only have £45 ones left in the Doug Ellis stand lower, plus 2.50 booking fee.

these are an addition to the restricted ones. Bit out of order holding these back.

They could well be returned tickets.

They are more likely to be tickets given to staff etc and not taken up but that is not the point. The £20 tickets should have all been available to fans. I reckon a fair few people who bought £45 tickets yesterday will be pissed off tosee £15 and £20 tickets available today.

Its this sort of shit that pisses me off about our ticket office. People are paying £45 and they then release £20 tickets. Jokers

If you want to go to a shit hole and pay £45 for a friendly then fair enough.

I wouldn't waste my time and money, although i'll watch it on tv if its on terrestrial - anyone know what channel its on?

It isn't a friendly.

Don't you know? Now we've won the FA cup and the Premier League the charity shield is below us now and just a small time friendly!

Obviously I don't know what I'm talking about though because I don't have a mortgage to pay or kids to feed which I say fair play to those that do and can/can't make it.
Did you know that over the years the Charity shield was by invite ..ie...City v Burnley when both had won.....well...errr...nothing the year before,if the game ended in a draw the trophy was shared for 6 months each, maybe this is why some older fans like myself see it as nothing more than a friendly and refuse to waste money going

They always invited the Champs and Cup winners to contest the Charity Shield but they didn't always take up the invitation, especially in the early 70s, we played Villa in 1972 when we'd won nowt and Villa were 3rd div. champions! The season after that Burnley game it was switched to Wembley and suddenly the "big" teams wanted to play in it again.

Anybody not received their tickets in the post yet?
It was more than 10 days ago when I bought mine but not received them yet?
