Anybody help me, booked watford travelodge, now finding it difficult to get train/tube to wembley, i cant seem to work out best way to do it, any help please.
I think there's an issue with engineering works on West Coast Main Line between Manchester and Watford, but had assumed that if you are in Watford you can get to Wembley. There are two Tube stations in Watford on direct routes into Wembley. There's Watford Metropolitan which is a little further out from the town centre, but still easy to get to, and that takes you straight into Wembley Park tube at the top of Wembley Way

Walk to Watford Junction Station take a train or Overground directly to Wembley Central, takes 10 mins by train, 25 mins by Overground, they go regularly, easy.

all stations in watford inc the met line are showing disruption for sunday.

Only from Uxbridge to Rayners Lane though. The tube website gives you the impression that your journey is affected if you're using any line with disruptions, I don't know why.

We are Parking in Uxbridge & getting the Tube in - Is there a ptoblem between Uxbridge & Wembley

Yup. They are replacing track at Ickenham which happens to be between Uxbridge and Wembley Park Stadium, that with West Coast engineering works means you guys had better really plan your journeys-a straight forward trip could easily be a nightmare

Get the Watford tube in the metropolitan line that's what we are hoping to do
there's line works between check <a class="postlink" href="http://www.tfl.gov.uk/" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;">http://www.tfl.gov.uk/</a>

What are alternatives to parking at Watford then? Don't fancy parking near wembley.

FFS - there are NO line works between Watford and Wembley Park - why has this rumour spread???

Park in Watford or better still somewhere like Rickmansworth and you can get the train into Wembley in 25 minutes - it will be half empty and will avoid the madness that is central London.

looks like there is some confusion here, the works is between watford junction and wembley central which is replaced by buses on part of the journey.

looks like a lot of blues don't understand the difference between the two.

we have done watford junction the last couple of times due to the easy car parking near the station.

was going to do the same again but using stanmore tube instead.

Does anyone know if Croxley Green will be affected by closures

I normally stay at Croxley Green for Wembley games and have done again for the Sat Night. I'm using the Croxley Green tube stop. There is no disruption from the Watford branch down to Wembley. The metropoliton line is basically 2 branches which converge together at Harrow. The disruptions are on the line from Uxbridge - Ruislip. This will affect the people going to Wealdstone FC which is closest to Ruislip tube station. Hope this helps

Between the disrupted Overground services (Watford Junction/Watford High St) and the unaffected Tube service (Watford Underground).
