10,000 of a 26,400 allocation? That'd be one of the worst turnouts in history for a Charity Shield surely.

I think we'll take 20,000 at least. Not all of our fans turn their nose up at these games.
Those who don't go are the losers. City at Wembley with no fear factor. Just there to enjoy it, and a last chance to savour City as Champions 2014 before the defence of our title kicks in

in a nutshell , how can you get bored of watching city at wembley , some of our followers should take a minute , stand back and savour the moment , we used to slag rags off for their arrogance and taking success for granted.

IT IS A FRIENDLY ... what is arrogant about not wasting money travelling 200 miles for a FRIENDLY

its alright saying that but the way the tickets are going it could be a repeat of the Full Members Cup Final

I would not count it as a friendly.

Last Friday against Hearts was a friendly. I live within ten minutes walk of Tynecastle and couldn't be bothered to go.

But I will be travelling an 800 mile return trip for the Community Shield.

It is a glorified friendly in my eyes, but still an occasion to enjoy which is why I am going. Most other trips to Wembley have been tinged with fear and pressure

Except for the Wigan game I seem to remember.

We had a right turn out for the Full Members Cup Final. Must have been around 20K plus. Not bad after an OT derby the day before as well. Would be amazed if similar numbers for Comm Shield but who cares...should be a great day out.

23,000 at the FMC as I recall, the Chavs had about twice as many, unsurprisingly. Probably a similar story for the CS with the gooners taking most of the "neutral" tickets.

Finances are a bit tight for me so I'm still not sure if I can afford both that and the Newcastle game in successive weeks and Newcastle has priority.

I have decided not to go.
Money is tight and frankly I don't believe the players will treat it seriously.
They certainly didn't against the rags after our FA cup win - whereas the rags gave it everything..

we dont seem to have huge numbers of fans who are willing to travel, and if we cannot sell 26000 tickets, then as a club we are not growing that quickly.

for a club that has finished 1-2-1 in the league, thrown in a fa cup and league cup, our popularity should be through the roof.

just found the dates/details on general sale, can someone help me out tho, it says this on the main site

General sale to supporters with existing purchase history – Tuesday 22nd July at 9am - i purchased a away ticket to chelsea last season, will i qualify?
If you were a blue member last season and bought it from the club yes.you should qualify tomorrow if you were a member last season

its blue members tomorrow, im not a blue member i am relying on general sale

You will still need to be a member to get a ticket on general sale, only members can officially buy tickets..

I've never been a Blue member but I'm registered as a supporter on the MCFC site and did buy some home tickets there last year.

I was able to purchase a ticket for the CS this morning. Bit disappointed that I couldn't specify row&seat within the chosen block. Anyway, seems a good position.

How many people are using the 'prefer to go to Newcastle away' excuse... We're gonna have about 15,000 fans at St James' at this rate!
