Community Shield Tickets

We should sell this game out - it'd be a disgrace if we didn't

"Disgrace" PMSL - 30 odd thousand tickets for a friendly in London?

The disgrace is the FA not changing the venue to Old Trafford.

I can claim mine and my lad's tickets from Tuesday. We go on holiday on Sat 23rd and come back on Sat night 6th August, i.e. night before the game. If we could buy in person from the ticket office I could have nipped down any day this week. Because we have to book over the phone or online and they post them out they are likely to be posted while we are on hols.

So what happens ? I expect we'll get back from hols on the Sat night to find a Royal Mail card saying they are being held at my local Post Depot. But they won't be open again until the Monday after the game. And City won't post to any other address so I'm stuffed. Are City not aware it's holiday season.

I've just got our 4 tickets. Used the on line system for the very 1st time. My god that was easy. I was one of those who would rather go and get them in person, but I may have just been converted. Modern technology is great. Just need a coach from Heywood now that dosen't have a big hole in the floor of the toilet.

Totally agree mate - was very painless and a lot easier than I expected. Just need to make sure my ticket doesn't get nicked in the post lol. Like you, I'm old school and queued up for tickets for the semi and final last season as opposed to spending ages on the phone while at work or whatever. But with that option being taken away and the online booking system added it's worked out like a dream.

I will add that on this occasion I was getting my own ticket only and for the semi and final I was queueing for 6 tickets on each occasion which, because there were 5 different addresses, saved over £35.00 in special delivery fees/booking fees plus I avoided the hassle of spending hours hammering the redial button on the phone. As such, I'd urge anyone buying tickets for this game to do it online rather than over the phone. It should be quicker and will save you the booking fee.

If somebody blocks the pot you might be grateful for that hole in the floor ;-)
