If people don't want to go that is their prerogative but I can't understand people saying they can't afford it. £17 megabus and £20 ticket. If your saying you can't afford that it is just that you are prioritising different things, which is fine.
Also 20 or 40 points added to your total which will help you get points toward the games you will be moaning about not being able to go to.

But prioritising is not just about money. I am not going as I have prioritised a golf tournament over a pre season friendly. Later in the season I will be off to at least two of the away european games and stay for a few days at each. You also have to take into account family, work, possible european cup semis and finals.

20,000 tickets sold for a friendly is brilliant, and I applaud all those giving up the time and money to travel.

But I won't feel guilty as I put my feet up with a bottle of red on Sunday afternoon.

Changed your mind then and moved the goal posts.
There's 5 of us going down iv been to the last 3 community shields, I'm not on that much money but I work my arse off to follow City, I maybe overreacted this morning but there should be more of us there, are u going.

Unfortunately I can't make it down this weekend.

It's a big effort going to Wembley on a Sunday afternoon, so big ups to all the blues travelling for it.

Usually at all of the Wembley matches but, ultimately, family and saving for important things than the Community Shield has to take priority.

If you read my post it is about people saying they can't afford it. What you do with your sunday afternoon is up to you.

Its not just £37 pounds though, there is still food and drink as well. In addition I have others to pay for so that cost is multiplied for a friendly fixture. I think 20k tickets is a tremendous number for a club that is mainly supported locally. Lets hope it's a great day wherever we are watching
