Complaint to BBC regarding Pete the Badge

The Biased Broadcasting Company! This shit must go right to the top of their sports programmes as whatever is put out there must have to be vetted and agreed by an editor. I guess there must be a press complaints commission that can be complained to as well?

Of course it does, look at the reply I gave you earlier.

The club has tried with these ****s before and it made the situation worse.

I'm pretty sure this would have been done by some young 'social media' intern or low-paid employee.

I remember last year there was an article on the BBC website about Sterling; it was the most laughably biased thing I'd ever read - bitter, nasty and full of the usual cliches that accompanied his transfer. It didn't take Sherlock to work out that the guy who wrote it was a Utd fan who on his Twitter page called himself a 'Social Media Journalist'. I complained to the BBC about it and got the usual copy and paste response about impartiality and integrity. I'm a big supporter of the BBC and agree that it does well to be as fair as it can be, but that really only applies to journalists at a certain level - and not to the kids doing the social media.

That is the way journalism is these days. The need/expectation for 24-hour 'news', a constant stream of updates and information that can be accessed by anyone, anywhere and at anytime, means that organisations like the BBC outsource or delegate social media responsibilities to younger, less-experienced people because the real journalists and web content managers ain't got time for that shit.

That's how we end up with crap like this.

Facebook page mocking a Manchester City fan
Complaint description
On today's Facebook front page you have shown a photograph of a Manchester City fan. The banner headline refers to ""we salute you Bertie". His name is not Bertie, as you must well know, it is Pete Green. Pete has been around for over 50 years as a fan both home and away, domestically and abroad. He is a much loved legendary figure at the club. Everyone stops and talk to Pete, there is not a single bad bone in his body. Pete has learning difficulties that he battles with on an everyday occurrence. Despite that he enjoys life to the full. I know full well your reasons to mock Pete. It's because he. Is not a precious Man Utd fan, therefore he is game. You must know that the name "Bertie", is the mocking name that United fans have for City. It goes back many years to when City could not compete on the field with the financial wealth United had. Every Other football fan in the country knows that the BBC have jumped into the Old Trafford bed. Your sickening bending at the knee to every United angle is truly sycophantic. The BBC charter declares truth delivered without fear or favour. Well when it comes to your costing up to United it certainly does not. This debasing of a gentle and sweet man deserves your respect, not your ridicule ( or banter as you probably see it). BBC are now insulting vulnerable middle aged people. Shame on you. Some City fans use the name "rag" when referring to United fans. So either I expect a public apology for this insulting article, or will you, seek out a similarly disabled, less advantaged vulnerable United fan to photograph, put onto your facebook and refer to him as " a rag", to redress the imbalance ?.

Good work mate.

Martin Samuel at the Mail appears to be one journalist who has some sympathy for us perhaps he may be interested in the story? At a time when clubs and the media are moaning about the lack of atmosphere and how to improve it, they choose to mock one of the great characters out there. Shame on them, not that they know the meaning of the word!
I copied in Simon Heggie to my email. If he's got enough nous, it'll find its way to sympathetic journalists but I won't hold my breath.

And now they are ridiculing our new signing Mr Jesus!!

From the BBC Sport website:

"The Sun have written up a story about new Manchester City forward Gabriel Jesus.

According to them, the player opted to take a 600-yard cab ride through rainy Manchester rather than walk back to his hotel after he got his hair cut."

There is a link to the Skunk website but no way Jose would I even copy it to here or access it!!!

why do we also insist on having two bbc employees in our own city square on matchdays. hugh ferris is an absolute **** doesn't hide the fact he is a rag a shite presenter basically just a wind up merchant. alastair mann while usually a good over viewer of the game on sunday said there was no way he could see aguero playing with jesus when we had just seen 10 minutes of the pair tearing Swansea apart. what I did was turn my back every time ferris spoke and turned back when danny and natalie, proper blues, were speaking. I would love to see us doing this en masse. aguero leaving was the main story on their teletext yesterday. cant wait to see jesus and Sergio playing together and shut all the fuckers up.

is there any organisation outside of the bbcc you could also send this this complaint to. an authoriity that oversees the media in general. ive found to my own cost that organisations like the bbc and the health service like to just brush complaints under the carpet.

I know for a fact that Gary Neville got a black cab from the rank on St Mary's Gate (by Paperchase) to The Moon Under Water, which is a distance of 500 feet, a few years ago. He then got the same cab to take him from there to Number 1 Deansgate, which is the same distance.
