It's one incident but indicative of a wider issue with their coverage generally. The straw that broke the camel's back perhaps.

I hope he is a nice guy. He's a hell of a player too, not Silva but not shabby, and I fully advocate referees refereeing challenges based upon how many charity dinners you attend.
I know a couple of people who work at OT. They say he is definitely their nicest player. He goes out of his way to connect with fans, especially some of the most vulnerable, who otherwise would not get much attention. But we're veering off topic.The Devil comes in many forms.

The picture you refer to was used after it had been filed by a national picture agency, captioned “Bertie”, and was used in good faith and in a congratulatory way to celebrate the fan’s dedication to Manchester City. None of the team on the BBC Sport website were aware of “Bertie” as being a derogatory term to describe City fans – and other City fans also shared the post and mirrored our congratulatory tone.
However, as it was never our intention to cause offence, we have now removed this post for the avoidance of doubt. We are proud of our inclusive and celebratory approach to social media and work hard to ensure we are balanced across the sporting spectrum at all times.

Its ironic that they call us berties and take the piss out of our strong manc accents, that make saying City sound like Citeh to the thick southern ****s.
