Result! The club aren't happy and are onto the BBC about it. Just had an email from Simon Heggie.I don't but I think he probably wouldn't want to complain or make a fuss. But the club should be all over this.
The problem is, if you complain to any of these media organisations perfectly reasonable complaints that you can back up, they all hide behind the "all football fans think we are biased against them" line. They must know what they're doing but it's so easy for them to make it seem like it always a case of football fans being irrational. They make it an impossible argument to have with them and they're effectively not accountable for any bias. Particularly galling with a national media corporation that we are all more or less forced to subsidise.I agree that's it something that has completely over-stepped the mark and they deserve to be pilloried for it but they will either take it down and gloss over it or issue a half-hearted apology saying they didn't mean to offend anyone and it was done unintentionally. Then they'll carry on.
What defence is there to quoting the team cost of us and Leicester just before a game in which Leicester were playing the rags? What defence is there to not mentioning our game on Sunday in any one of five news bulletins? There isn't any.
Brilliant, well done mate.Result! The club aren't happy and are onto the BBC about it. Just had an email from Simon Heggie.
Good work. Hopefully the club might have a bit of clout and be a bit less easy to ignore.Result! The club aren't happy and are onto the BBC about it. Just had an email from Simon Heggie.

They are. See above. That's fair enough on Pete's part but are the club aware?
I've made a complaint as I'm building up a dossier of evidence of their bias
Do it PB,you will ensure any case is articulated correctly and, subsequently, taken seriously. They are. See above.
Some of us need to get together on this and I'm happy to be involved.
Me too. One doesnt need a degree in psychiatry to be able to tell from that photo that Pete the badge has some vulnerabilities, and is a kindly harmless fun loving passionate fan doing nobody any harm. Make no bones about it, this is wholly out of order and is no more than mocking, inspired by an agenda towards our club that the use of the term Bertie betrays. From the national public broadcaster as well. Fucking disgracefulThey are. See above.

What gets me is the guy (GJ) is new to Manchester and might not have known that the shop was that near. We all know what Mcr rain can be like, I got soaked yesterday walking from my car to the hospital entrance which was 100 yds away! Plus it's his own flaming money he is spending!!
