Completely Disillusioned

You see its fans like Xavvi that really get my goat. These are the same fans who would rather see us fighting for our lives playing shit football, and ultimately get relegated only for City to come back up by gaining over 100 points in the Championship. Look, Im 16 going on 17, so I haven't had to endure the pain as much as those who have had it for over 40 years or so, but those 16 years have been full of tears and heartbreak over the club I love, just hoping that one day, City could be successful, and that one day at Wembley or wherever, I could see this great club lift a trophy. We now live in a time where to be successful, you have to have the resources to be successful, mainly money. Now I know this isn't everyone's cup of tea, but if it means this club becoming the biggest dog in the yard, so be fecking it. Nothing would please me more than to see us ram decades of suffering and humilation back down the throats of not only the rags, but the press and all the other sychophants who have took the piss out of ickle ci'eh for too fecking long.

Now that Xavvi, you little reject, is my Rant Over!

Can't beleive i have just taken the time to read this entire thread! The OP is undoubtedly a muppet of the highest order.

To think that we are ruining football or any other drivel is completely absurd. In the days of old when players were sold and bought for a million or two, were the likes of Arsenal, Liverpool or the Scum accused of ruining their clubs by their own fans....i think bloody not. It is seen as a step forward.

In todays game a player can go for 'silly' money, but every thing is index linked, so in essence they still hold the same value!

Not exciting breaking in to the Sky top four......you really are a delusioned young man! If you were happy watching the likes of Gillingham, Doncaster Rovers, Bristol City or any other shite league team week in week out, then go and change your colours to County! I'm sure the Johnstons Paint Trophy is right up your street.

Oh, and finally, the stucture of a club changes under every regime, whether it be Swales, Bernstien or the Shiekh. It is progress, keeping the wheels moving and pushing this club (or brand!) to where it so rightly deserves.

Rant over.......CTID

Whereas in the good old days, the prime of Peter Swales, Louis Edwards, Don Revie, Tommy Docherty, Ron Atkinson, George Graham, Terry Venables & of course Harry Redknapp, integrity was the name of the game.
integrity? half of them have been accused of being bent, one accused of being a racist, one is an adulterer, and the other is peter swales

In eighteen months, the club has changed. The outlook, the structure, everything. We have become arrogant, self-important and largely hypocritical. I hate that real City fans are being cheated by this stupid regime. I'm very young but already I feel completely out of touch with football. Who cares if we might break the top four? That's not exciting! It's predictable as hell. We spend stupid money on stupid, overpaid players to get into a silly competition to get even more silly money and more silly money as a reward for winning it. Football is being destroyed by clubs like us and I hate that. I feel like giving up and starting over such is my resentment towards the Premier League.

Rant over.

the underlying theme of your post is spot on, we have been blessed with this regime not cheated but it would be nice for football to go back to the old days where it was all fluffy and nice, never going to happen. without these owners city could easily have gone bust.we now have a forward moving cash rich club that never again will play third tier football, if thats the outcome of the big change at our club it will do for me.

if you can't beat them.......oh wait a minute we can.

Times have changed, mate. The world has changed. Football is no longer the idiom of the working man: rattles on the terraces, players with Brylcreem-plastered short, back and sides. Danny Blanchflower, Dixie Dean, Tom Finney - that's all gone, consigned to history.
Football is now a global business generating billions and billions the world over. Sport in general has moved on. We're in the 21st Century now and there's absolutely nothing we can do about it.

Besides, would you really prefer us to be battling against relegation every season whilst watching the same top 4 competing for everything year in year out? Like the bloody Auld Firm in the SPL? I certainly wouldn't.

The fact that the Sheikh came in with wads of cash and has now put us on a even playing field with not only the likes of the rags, Liverpool, Arsenal and Chelsea, etc, but also Real Madrid, Barcelona, Bayern Munich, AC and Inter Milan and all the rest of the 'big boys' makes me - a City supporter for over 40 years- a very very happy man indeed.

Please stop this. You are giving the Scouse OP his pound of flesh.

Funny thing is he's not even subtle over it, when you read his previous posts. Any mention of Torres leaving the granny stabbers and he's straight on telling us all how it won't happen. And he's already started a 1 man campaign on here to boycott the Sun, due to it's treatment of scousers!

Surely the Suns treatment of scousers is enough to get people to buy it en masse...!

If the Billionaires do leave fotball then teams like Barcelona , Real Madrid, Milan,
Manch United, Inter, soon Arsenal, could make a pick every summer of the 30 best
fotballplayers , I like it as it is now, Money gives more teams a chans of winning
the champions leauge; so money is fairness in fotball !
