After watching most of Germany's matches in this competition I've realised Rudiger is not particularly good with the ball at his feet. Most second touches are to control his first. The "good" first touches are just the ones that aren't awkward.

I did think he may be a good investment for Pep's system but I'm not sure he would be a good fit now.
 
Goretzka would be a great Yaya replacement.

I knew he was a good sitting midfielder, great passing range, decent defensively, didn't know he could go forwards as well.
