Another swedish artist with a song that feels right for the occasion! :D

Some of the greatest memories I have watching City were on pre-season tours in northern Sweden. For a few years in the late 80s and early 90s we seemed to go to Umea and the surrounding areas every pre-season. About 20 or so Blues turned up for each of the tours

Some random memories:
- £5 a pint - and that's 25 years ago
- Going to a supermarket in Umea when we first arrived and buying a crate of Class 1 beer, drinking it like English abroad do until someone told us what Class 1 meant, and pointing us to the Systembologet.
- 3-2 win vs IFK Holmsund in 87 (Vasterbottens Kuriren from the following day carried an article/photo of me alongside their match report)
- 10-0 win v IFK Rundvik and 12-0 win v IFK Lovanger in 87. Two double figure wins in two days!
- An attempt by Lovanger to get into the Guinness Book of Records for the longest ever sandwich on the day we played them. Disgusting, sour nasty fish sandwich. Can still taste it to this day.
- Playing Matfors in Sundsvall in 88. Stayed at a youth hostel called Kfuk Kfum and the (English) hostess felt the need to live up to that name by "accommodating" as many Blues as she could that night.
- Tour hostess, Ulla, got on very well with Mel Machin.
- Tony Coton supplying us with the players cast-off porn mags. I tried sneaking one back through customs on the way home and nearly acquired an embarrassing criminal record.

Some of my best mates are from Stockholm. They love the English out there, the girls anyway.

I follow Bajen (Hammarby) now as they're a bit like us!

It has been a pleasure to be a part of this forum for the past three years. I have been welcomed and you have put up with not only me being a Toffee, but also my moaning about my team being so gash. But it is what it is.

Tonight, my Blue internet buddies, I really hope they win it for you all. I will look forward to seeing this place go nuts if they do. Of course, my heart belongs to that other team in blue, but tonight I will be cheering your guys on and screaming at the telly.

Come on City

Good Luck Everyone
