He’s also better at coming and claiming and punching crosses. He’s also better at coming out and clearing the ball to stop counter attacks. Ederson is better at saving low shots down to his left (Hart’s biggest flaw).

For whatever reason, people have romanticised his period with us. He was a deeeecent keeper for us until football moved on further than he could go.

Yet Pickford and England do better with him in goal than when Hart was.

Hart is/was the better shot stopper, but his distribution is awful and he loses his head as badly as Pickford does.

He sat on the bench at Burnley behind Pope for a year too.

He has been immense. He has the odd pass that goes astray and the like, but when we’ve needed him he is there. He is a great influence on the back line and in general to the whole squad. I have been pushing for us to go for him fir years and finally we did. As for the support, as I said we fucking love him. I always believed if he got to the right team, had a bit of love and everybody behind him he would be brilliant. The big man looks happy and last night he soaked the Sky camera man with Champers. He has been a key figure in us winning the league. You won’t find a single one of us who wouldn’t say how great he has been. And if you do, give me their name and I will personally knock them the fuck out.

At the start of the season I saw a vast improvement and we were going faster than I hoped. I also said we had issues with our defence and goalie. Juranovic, CCV and Joe made the difference in that area and without them we wouldn’t have won it. I could see if we didn’t sort the defence, or at least improve it, then no matter how good we were mid to front would be in vain.

Ange has been a revelation. I also love that he has finally put to bed our boards dithering bastard approach to recruitment. Always too late, always the cheap option and worse whoever scouted most of them was fucking useless. Ange has already lined up another LB, we need to sign CCV and Jota another CB, let McCarthy go, which I knew was an absolute farce and the last throw of the board picking players.

The support know he is the man and the board know they if don’t back him, after they ran us into the ground and allowed Rangers to win it are on a final warning.
Big Joe may never reach the heights he once did, but you would look a long time to find any other keeper who would. As I said he has made a huge difference and is loved.

What a load of shite. For one we drew with you home and away in the CL. Rangers are in the EL final now. How many of your 3rd tier could do that? None is the correct answer. We could beat half the fucking EPL and we haven’t a pot to piss in.
