Despite the level of the opposition can we finally see how Greenwood should be a left back, as a converted centre back she often is hesitant to move the ball quicker. The game looks far easier for her in the position she played most in her career. Hemp is unstoppable.

Note to Taylor and I know Bristol City are not at the elite level but can we please try a few games on the bounce with this exact back four. They look far more balanced and fluid in possession which allows others to understand their roles.

Is it gonna be ten by FT? Either we are getting a very good bounce of the ball or Bristol are dire. GT was at pains during the week to tell us that Bristol were this and that, and were challenging, it was gonna be a difficult game. Mmmmmmmm?

Bristol are awful, but these players should be our regular starting team - no Roebuck, no Kelly, no Coombs, no Castellanos. It will never happen, thanks to the inept in charge who prioritizes “names” and not performance.

I think a lot of it is down to Greenwood being a more natural fullback. Time and again in league games we see us taking an age to get the ball moving forward. The fans know that our biggest strength is getting the ball to our wide players with only one defender to attack - against Villa by the time Hemp got the ball she had 2 or 3 defenders to deal with.
