Nasri, Richards, Milner - Extend

Lescott - Not extremely fussed but would like him to stay on a short deal, with lower wages

Kolarov - Was previously in my my "sell" column, atm though extend with possibly lower wages on current form

Dzeko - Sell, not good enough, superfluous to requirements

Milner + Richards - Extend. Good assets.

Lescott, Kolarov, Dzeko - Sell

Nasri - Sell and replace with a player that dribbles past players and gets goals too like Draxler. I like Nasri but he's not good enough at scoring or playing the killer pass more importantly. Replaceable.

Would prefer a true LW for his squad spot. We don't have one yet...we just put true no. 10's in a less effective position.

I know it's early in the season, but why would we sell Kolarov now that he's finally turning into the player we thought we were getting?

FTR this is what I think will happen, not what I want to happen.

Lescott is 100% gone at the end of the season IMO. Probably only kept for this season because the Pepe deal didn't happen.

Richards they want to give a new deal to, Khaldoon said so in his end of year interview. I think Micah is stalling that one, probably to see if he gets enough first team football. If pellegrini rotates him with Zaba he'll sign. Bayern game implied he'll do that. I reckon Micah will sign a big extension in January, if he gets played.

Milner I think will get a new deal, but possibly on a pay cut, Good and important player for us, but he is on a big, pre-Soriano wage and I can see them having a problem with that. This one could go either way, but if he doesn't get a new deal he'll be sold next summer.

I think Kolarov will be sold in the summer unless he has an absolute blinder of a season. He is playing better but I don't see him getting a new contract tbh.

Dzeko - My feeling is he will be sold. Probably at a decent sized loss. The smart thing would perhaps have been to sell him this summer, but Pellegrini wanted to give him the chance and that's fair enough. Not convinced he's going to do better than the last couple of years here tho, and he'll go for 12-15 million as its his last year.

Nasri - I think Nasri is playing for his new deal this season. So far there's evidence he might just get it. But again, he's on a big wage and to justify that wage he has to be one of our most important players. Signs he could do that this season. But I think this all depends on samir.

Agree in the most.

Don't see problem with Milner though. No other club would offer even near our reduced wage package.

Dzeko wasn't sold because there was no offer rather than we wanted to keep him, I believe.

So what do we do?

All are still a big part of the first team squad and get regular game time but are they worth new 4 year contracts?

Are we leaving it a bit late again with them if we want to keep them?

For me I would let Lescott go and try and sell Dzeko in January but other than that maybe the others are worth keeping. Kolorov will no doubt raise debate but he has been decent recently.

In order to sell these players there needs to be a club willing to buy them. If I was on the look out for a striker I'm afraid Edin wouldn't be top of the list. I'd sell Clichy before Kolorov on recent form. Gaëls deterioration has been both alarming and rapid. Lescotts gone and he knows it. the professional that he is will insure he continues to do his best for as long as he's here. Micah can stay at city forever. On the subject of contracts how long has the upstairs amigos got left? Who will decide whether they warrant an extension or not?.

Supposing Micah gets another knee injury and plays only 15 games again this season, do City renew his big money contract (£80,000/week or something?)? I think he has to prove he isn't a constant crock again and actually play for more of the season than not. Being an academy graduate shouldn't be enough... he's averaging 19 appearances in 38 league games in the last 4 seasons.
