Conundrum

Then tell your boss you overheard him, say what puts you in a shit position, maybe he ought to do better at keeping sensitive stuff quiet next time, lay it on about your mate's circumstances, and how you're incredibly pissed off and unhappy.

Something good might come out of it. Or you might get sacked as well. Either way... I think I've made my point clearly enough. Be clever, be subtle, think about it, or don't think, be polite, be blunt. But don't expect Bluemoon to know the subtlety of the situation.

Just say to yourself, whatever the answer, you're not ready to make a snap decision, and ask what you want to do. Go from there.

Or don't.

One for you lot...

You overhear your bosses talking about letting your best friend go. Not just your best work mate but genuine friend.

Do you...

(a) Give them the heads up because you're a nice person, but risk them bringing it up to the bosses when they inform them they're letting them go and inadvertently dropping you in the shit at work

Or

(b) Not tell them, let the bosses tell them out of the blue and pretend you knew nothing and have it on your conscience with your friendship going forward.

No misconduct etc.

Which would you go for?

Pics?

There’s no choice here, you tell them. There’s no reason why they’d have to let it be known they got the info from you, if you overheard it, they can easily say it was themselves or anybody else that overheard it and in a scenario where it came out it was you who told them, it wasn’t told to you in confidence, you’re under no obligation not to tell them

If he earns more than you suck up to the bosses, drop him in the shit and steal his job.
