Cook is a clever guy and given a lot of unfair stick!

I don't agree with Hughes sacking but the man does what he believes to be right for our great club and hopefully he'll be proven right. We have to employ one person to make decisions and he can't please everyone (including me) all the time I suppose.

to be fair to cook, he fked up in public that doesnt mean he isnt good at his job.

The press will have you believe we made a mess of sacking mark hughes, i feel sorry for hughes (in how it was leaked not how and why he was sacked) BUT.... what would of been more of a mess would of sacking hughes and having nobody in place, therefore going into the next 2 games with no manager and then IF a new manager came straight away we would of been looking at a week for the new manager to deal with an fa cup tie and a carling cup semi as the first 2 game, in my opinion two league games has to be better games to deal with, especially with the first at home.

The management made decision that they felt was right for the club at the time, they didnt handle it well and cook didnt handle his part of the press conference well that doesnt mean cook isnt good at his job, it means just means cook either needs PR lessons or someone else has to talk to the media next time!!

Ps.. Mancini this week oooozes class and i have good feeling about him, hope he proves me right, 7 trophies in 4 years says quite a bit or me!!

Garry will do fine for me too, but I'm not surprised that some fans have issues with him. He is a great enthusiast for City, genuinely cares for the fans and what they think. Much prefer him to the likes of Kenyon, Gazidis, Buck, Parry, Storey et al.

At first I had a lot of time for Gary Cooke but he is starting to become a liablity and I think he could be the next casulalty. The recent press conference has done him no favours and he has dug him self a bigger hole as if he was digging his own grave. In hindsight he should have done a bacon face or taken a leaf out of any politiican by asking the press for the queston up front. The press laid the posion and cookie swallowed it hook line and sinker.

there are 2 Garry Cooks........the one who goes to all the supporters meetings, who is great on the death of Steve Kay, who helps the disabled fans at matches, whose rapport with the fans is fantastic........

then there is the Cookie who makes the faux pas at the Kaka meeting and the sacking of MH............

perhaps we retain Cookie for the first bit and employ a ruthless business type to deal with the press and all the crap that goes with it.........

100% Agreed, keep in the office and away from publicly speaking on behalf of the club. Still i'll be surprised if he'll be having his Christmas turkey in Manchester this time next year.
