Chances are it was someone we never heard anything about, look at the De Jong deal it wasn't until HSV reported the bid that anyone knew we where interested in the player.

It may be an idea before flying out to these countries to ask the players representatives what their client is realistically expecting as per salary.Would save a lot of time and hassle.

Nice to here from Mr Cook over the past few weeks we haven't heard anything, have to laugh at the 7 minute meeting, perhaps Buffon? that has gone very quiet.

Good call...mind you Martin Jol evidently squeezed an extra 2m Euros out of Cook to secure the De Jong deal, so he may not be as tough as he makes himself out to be.
