i wonder if cook is next for the chop

The minute I read Cook said this I thought, what stupidity and lack of professionalism. Only one person could have told him that for him to be 100% sure, Mancini. He was therefore betraying Mancini to save his own ass, the man is a serious liability I regret to say.

They are gunning for cook big time and so are the rags and wums I think hes great personally but I was him I would keep my mouth shut and be whiter than white for the rest of the season, the press hate hima nd want rid and when they want something it normally happens sooner or latter - look at hughes.

That got up and left on Sept 1st 2008. Or even when Thaksin emerged.

Well, yes and no. Even the presence of such a dubious character as Thaskin was subdued by the charm of SGE whose eloquence and obvious decency was great PR for us.

Hughes had nothing like the same presence - and indeed had a very uneasy relationship with the press- and any positive vibes that came out of the club were founded on the idea that the owners did things 'the right way' and worked with full transparency and integrity. I'm afraid Cook blew that notion right out of the water on Monday.

I don't go with the "fuck the press" lobby on here, either. I want us to be liked and on good terms with the press. I don't want to be as universally unpopular as United and as reviled as Ferguson. I want us to win things with integrity.

You have got to be kidding, the mirror stalked him from the day he walked in till the day he left.

I dont think that when Cook says: "Do we think that Liverpool just talked to Klinsmann? I am sure they also spoke to others, and I have no doubt that Roberto Mancini was one of them. Of course he would have been.” he actually has any idea what happened at Liverpool. The words "I am sure" and "I have no doubt" imply that he has been told what happended. In reality its all just conjecture. Cook uses those words because he has supreme faith in his own opinions. He's a buffoon.

I'm starting to quite like him. He has an air of Inspector Clouseau about him, seems like an imbecile but is actually quite clever.

Yes, I fully agree. Loads of approval on this thread for the Liverpool comments, but I thought they were utterly crass, even before Mancini's pre-match press conference today in which RM totally denied ever having spoken to the Scousers and looked genuinely surprised to be asked the question. Makes Cook look even more of a clown when you'd have thought he'd do everything to avoid the prospect after the fiasco earlier in the week.

The bloke really is a PR disaster and needs to be gagged immediately in the interests of the club. If I supported another team, I'd think he was hilarious, which is the greatest indictment of all.
