just seen that , somebody on here mentioned kenyon would be involved with us somewhere down the line maybe this is it . hope not

I mentioned that a few months back mate.

Probably just speculation. Kenyon is proven though at the highest of levels and there's no one better around is there?

It was me that mentioned Peter Kenyon. Sheikh Mansour spoke to him three times over the summer and once after the Kaka deal collapsed, or so I have been told by a reliable source. It would not surprise ke to see him here at all, in fact I'd rate it as most likely.

well, nothing more on sky sports.

there was one very non-committal line in the telegraph about whispers that he might be replaced in the summer. really, I think it was nothing, the fact is that rumours and whispers have been doing the rounds for well over a year.

I think he is doing a fine job. dropping the odd clanger, if that's what they really are (and I have my doubts) is not a big enough reason to get rid of someone who appears to have taken this club forward off the pitch, albeit with all the help he could ask for. IMO most of the controversy is from people who really dislike his style, they make a huge deal out of every comment they don't like. The papers have forgotten the 'definitely beat utd' comment, and instead have taken his promise to make this the biggest and best club in the world very seriously. if people are worried about what fans of other clubs say, I couldn't give a toss.

This makes far more sense dont you think?

The club are also undertaking work to ensure that the chief executive, Garry Cook, hugely valued in the Middle East, is not exposed to any more of the embarrassments which have contributed to his gaffe-prone image. Mubarak and his team are reported to believe Cook was left exposed when a video phone was used to record his declaration, in a bar in New York two weeks back, that City would become "without doubt, the biggest and best football club in the world".

Cook had been assured beforehand that it was safe to deliver a rousing speech to fans at the City-supporting Mad Hatter pub, where he had arrived to present a blue plaque to the bar to mark its affinities. The publicity created by the speech has helped fuel the latest chatter among the enemies Cook has made in the game that he is destined to be ousted this summer, though there is no evidence that this might be the case.

The Arabs have been astonished by the blizzard of publicity which City attract and they view Cook as an individual who has taken the hit for them after Hughes' departure last month. They also consider him pivotal to aspects of the club's corporate transformation which are alien to many traditionalists, and recognise the substantial role he had in player recruitment before Brian Marwood's arrival as football administrator.

I'm sorry but I really think it's time Garry Cook was relieved of his duties.

He has now become a figure of fun in the media and is misrepresenting the club imo. His dossier of embarassing quotes and cringeworthy PR tactics is just too long to take him seriously. Because of this his position is untenable. Our owners aren't stupid and will have seen what he's been saying.

Obviously he has some good aspects and has been very good with the fans and I feel he's managed to give us a voice more than we have had in recent years. I also have a lot of respect for him turning up at the BM party after his OSC error. For me though I'd rather I heard very little of what our CEO is doing, rather than him being in the news every couple of weeks.

The end is nigh for Garry and I'd wish him well I just don't think he has cut the mustard in the footballing world.
