Hi folks,

If any of you went out to Copenhagen we'd like to ask your opinions for the Football Supporters' Federation on any aspect of your trip - from the locals and the city itself, eating and drinking, through to the stadium, policing and stewarding. Organised trip or independent traveller, we want to hear from you.

If any of you have anything worth sharing (positive stories or nightmares), drop it down below. Or, if there are already topics with tales from Copenhagen, could you give me a link to them so I can find out some info and contact some people?

Cheers

A mate of ours got arrested naked sleep walking around someones house next to our hotel on the 1st night, we stayed at the Komfort Inn Excelsiour, he was escorted back to our hotel woth only a little towel to keep him warm, police were understanding in the end!

Plus me and 5 others walked back towards the centre after the game a found a little bar in the middle of no where, after a while around 10 FCK fans came in and asked if they could join us. We chatted and drank for about 2 hours before swapping scarfs caps etc before heading our seperate ways!

P.S. After witnessing a fight break out oustide the ground I thought the police handled it very well, arrested the culprits, who were FCK fans, the dealt with it without fuss or over zealous reactions 5 mins later you wouldn't have known it had happened hats off!

Thanks for that - good to hear some positive reporting of policing on the continent. The Danes obviously seem to have their heads screwed on.

Any more bits and bobs of info are gratefully received :)

I thought the policing/stewarding at the entrance was pretty poor. Only 2 turnstiles open for nearly 2000 fans and a lot missed the start of the game. We were forced into a narrower and narrower opening and held there so that everyone could be searched. This led to a lot of shoving and people trying to force their way through and quite a few got trampled which could have been more serious.

Had a chat with the Danish police before the game just off the main square. They
kept their presence down to a minimum, wore the match badges given to them
by the badge sellers on their uniform, and were spot on! I asked them if they
had been over to police our game in the Faroes (they laughed and said they
weren't the lucky ones fortunate enough to be chosen). At the ground, the
entrance to the ground was very poorly lit and cramped as described previously,
but couldnt fault the Danish Police in any, job well done imo, am sure the majority
of the 1,800 City fans there officially would concur.

The Politi's insistence on nicking our ball in the square near the Irish Rover was comical.
The fact you could take a beer into the stadium was comical.
The fact that the stewards in front of us were smoking in the stadium was comical.
The snowball fight we had with the Politi was comical, but short lived as we didn't want to push our luck!

They were great hosts and the stewarding/policing was first class.

I hope we're as accommodating to the FCK fans when they come over here.

Could teach the GMP a thing or two me thinks..

Just sent you a PM mate.

I loved that booklet we got at the airport with all the local information in it, I wish GMP would do something like that and that Manchester would be more welcoming to people.

I'm embarassed at the hospitality when we go abroad, because we don't do anything for visiting fans. All they get is bars that shut at 11pm, GMP in riot gear and our women (poor sods!!!)

Completely agree mate.

This might be a bit cheeky, but does anyone still have a copy of the leaflet that the police were handing out?

I'd really like a look at it, and as you say, it could teach the GMP (and other police forces in the UK, and around Europe) how to deal with fans when travelling to football.

If anyone has one they'd be willing to pop in the post, could you let me know? Cheers.
