Anyone see it last night?
Now I like a drink like the rest of us but to see the way some of the people on there acted last night when they'd had a drink was......embarassing to be honest. It centred on Leeds and Wakefield city /town centres but I suppose you could have filmed it in any town centre over a weekend and got the same footage.

Just got to be more harsh. So for example if someone is being a total prick and a pain in the arse, drag them along the floor then throw them into the cell with a no-nonsense approach. If they get a little cut, so what? They shouldn't be being a prick in the first place. They certainly won't do it again. Oh wait a minute....

On the other hand though you could offer them a nice warm cell with a blanket, pillow, a brew and a hearty stew, which is what I got when I once acted like a prick through drink. Luckily for me the experience of being arrested and celled for the night was enough alone to make me think twice, but some people would simply see that as an easy nights kip and will go and do it again and again and again.

I never suggested making it illegal. The thing that got me was the way they behaved when they'd had a drink. I might be a bit older than a lot on here but I still behave in a reasonable manner, even when I'm pissed ! Some of the antics seen last night as I said earlier were frankly embarassing but it seems like it's the norm to act like that these days.
The amount who got nicked for not leaving things when the plod asked them to leave was unbelieveable, they swore, spat, fought with the plod and then wonder why they get nicked.

More often than not the Old Bill try and pass these wankers on to the Ambulance service so they can clog up A and E waiting rooms or,worse still, valuable beds.

There is a complete lack of responsibilty with many of these characters and they are more than happy to selfishly abuse the services and system of this country safe in the knowledge that there will not be any personal repurcussions or consequences of their irresponsible actions.

Believe me,you become very cynical and view society much differently when you have experienced(suffered) years of dealing with such shit.

Always makes me laugh that program, you get the coppers having a go at the drunken louts for swearing and they do it more than them, even in the one on one interviews!

The thing that struck me about all these episodes are what happens the morning after. Cautions, £80 fines and then tipped back onto the street.

I am not after the death penalty for littering, but I don't think the message is getting through. An example, the last 'incident' 2 lads, lashed up, wont go away and keep swearing, the copper snaps and pins one of them and in the melee a police woman gets an elbow in the nose. He got a caution. Now I understand that if the camera had not been there it may have been very different but then again it may not.

Well what do you do at the match? Pumped up people will swear. Pumped up piss heads will spit, swear and be violent. Pumped up police will swear to intimidate.
'Get the fuck on your feet and in the fucking van now' sounds more intimidating than 'would one please make their way to the motor vehicle like a good old chap'.
