However did any of you see how bad the attitude of the police were (in some cases) and how aggressive/arrogant they were? They epitomised the myth that a lot of them were bullied at school and wore the badge as an excuse to abuse their power.
Even those idiot young lads at the end who ended up hurting the WPC's nose, you can easily see how (if the cameras were not rolling) they could have been fixed up for punching her when infact it was completely accidental (although their behaviour was a disgrace and embarrassing)
It's quite obvious bb2 that you don't see the things others see. The lad at the end had been told numerous times to leave. He didn't then continued to shout and swear in the street. Whichever way you look at it, that's a public order offence whether you like it or not, it's the law. When he was then informed he was being arrested he then attempted to get away / stop them arresting him by fighting with the police at the scene. The police were aggresive towards him, in that situation I would have done exactly the same, you have to nullify any threat immediately by being more agressive than they are or you run the risk of being injured yourself. A bit like when you go into a tackle when playing football, if you don't go in properly the risk of you getting hurt is much greater.
A quick question....If you or your family had their house broken into, were mugged, assaulted or any other myriad of things, who would be the first people you phoned? I'll have a little bet with myself to what your answer will be.
No, I totally agree mate, the guy was well out of order and deserved to get nicked. What I meant was the two youngish coppers chatting in the van it smacked of them being drunk on the power of the uniform. I can not remember the exact quotes but they came across badly IMO.
My house was broken into (well they go in an open window and took cash) in August and I did not call the police because a) I did not need a crime ref number as I could not prove how much they had taken and b) I had not confidence in them being caught and c) they only took cash no electricals etc and d) It was my own stupid fault for leaving a front window open on a terrace street.
And to answer your other question, if I was a victim of serious crime of course I'd call the police, but I have little or no faith in them and whether you like it or not thats an opinion shared by many.
