Corinthians make 35 million bid for tevez (MERGED)

Is it feasible that say Kia stumps up 20mil and Corinthians the other 15 mil. Kia buys Tevez's ownership like before and agrees to loan him to Corinthians for a year for 15mil. There is the 35mil.
After a year he loans him to Real or Inter for a further 10mil or 15mil a year. Do this for 3-4 years and hes quids in. Spain and Italy dont have the 3rd party ownership rules.

Is this a likely scenario?

Absolutely could see Kia doing this.

This is why any contract would need to be full of caveats about sharing in future profits.

The only reason to let him go on the cheap for just £35 million would be cos we were being decent folk and letting him return home to be with his loving family etc

As we don't really believe that ;-) we would need to protect ourselves by ensuring that we see his true value if the snake is up to his old tricks and just trying to regain ownership on the cheap.

There is the theory this is being bankrolled by Kia in order to get Tevez's rights back.

How would that benefit Kia though? if he's stumping up most of the money for the deal, I don't understand his logic. I know he's wealthy, but I don't see how he could afford the full fee. For arguments sake he is putting up £20 million (with Corinthians making up the rest) and Kia regains Tevez' registration, where will he make money out of this deal? Yes, there may be image rights and boot deals etc but Tevez isn't exactly Beckham (brand wise) and if they were to sell him on after his usual two season stint with the club, where would he go then...back to Europe for a big fee would be the only possibility for Kia to regain his money and after the way Tevez has behaved with us I don't think he'd move back to Europe again.

I understand why Kia's name would be associated with this move, he may well be trying to broker the deal, but I don't think it makes financial sense for him to be putting up the money himself.
I have no idea what shenanigans Kia might be up to.

True, he's a sneaky one and would no doubt have something up his sleeve, I was just saying from my point of view I wasn't sure where he'd make the money from.

Not sure we'd be allowed to sell to a 3rd party or profit from it in the future. However, we sell to corinthians, they sell to kia, he loans to corinthians then sells in january to chelsea, or loans to real, inter etc. He won't be cup tied for the CL, so will be a seriously hot property.

If we sell to corinthians for £35m and they then sell to kia for £30m, thus paying £5m for their loan, we'd only get a share of the £30m. At say 20%, he's only cost kia £36m and I suspect abramovic might give him more than that back.

Can a sell-on clause not be for the rest of the career?

i.e. if he is ever sold for more than £35 million in future then we get a slice?

I sugested earlier that kia wanted ownership again and that is what is the real driving force behind wanting a move . No doubt he will be in spain next year if this deal goes through and kia will be laughing again

why would he do that

Money. If he gets ownership again he can loan his for a fee like he did at West Ham and Utd. He can earn year on year for 4 years minimum.

Its just a thought i had and i'm not even sure its feasible but this whole Corinthians deal doesnt make sense without Kia trying something on.

Agreed. Kia is trying something on here which initself may not be a problem as long as City get enough out of the deal but still...

Do not be deceived:

Corinthians 1-15

No, as City wouldn't be party to the next contract, so would have no rights.

He can obviously smell a profit. Take a cut of this deal move him on next year to real Madrid.

Seems real are interested rather take the 25 million and benzema from them to be honest. Another forward in the door and 25 million toward signing ageuro.

50 mill up front or he see's out his contract. fuck him just like robinho again we have to make i stand
