You’re going to struggle to find a truly democratic state, with or without a monarchy. I’d argue Britain is one of the most democratic nations in the world as well

Well, if we did have that kind of democracy and we had a vote I reckon the vast majority of people would want the anti-oil protestors to fuck off and let us get on with our lives, and would also want anti royalists to just fuck off. So not sure you would really like to live in that kind of country.

The government is literally passing laws designed to shut down protests which they deem a 'nuisance'

What I think would have been classy and the best way to start his reign, would be to say, I know times are hard for the people of my country, so my Cornwall of Duchy estates will pay for the Coronation.,

He would be known as Good King Charles III. I thought he might do that, I actually quite like him. He can afford it and his reign would have started off spectacularly well, connecting with people in a brilliant way.
