Ant 'n Dec say it's a barm, Huw Edwards sez barm but in Welsh, but I understand that the reception will consist of decaf coffee and a bacon* muffin. It will go down in the history books as the feeding of the 2200 with coffee 'n muffins. All part of the slimmed down monarchy!

*Vegetarian bacon for those leaders of all the different faiths who can't eat real bacon.

I don’t really care about the monarchy, but I also don’t have a problem with them. They bring money into the country and millions adore them.

I do think that monarchs around the world are becoming a thing of the past though. I spend a lot of time in Thailand and since their king died a few years ago, many of Thais aren’t really bothered about his son who became the new king. He was a bit of a party boy apparently, not the type to suit the role of king. They adored their previous king, so it’s sort of similar feelings toward Queen Elizabeth and Charles. But I think that shows the world is moving on, take Harry for example. He probably thinks there’s more to life than this royal service and decided to live a normal life in the States.

my views exactly, didn't even have a go at the missus who turned it over for the coronation whilst I was watching an interview with pep on sky sports , in the kitchen I go to make a sausage butty before pre match slurps...

Our history has at least 15 deposed kings/queens

nowt more british than the idea a king can be removed, poisoned, beheaded or replaced by a foriegn prince
