Does it matter which highly effective vaccine Hancock is getting?

It's an attempt at PR. There seems to be quite a few people who are a bit wary of the AZ vaccine due to stories about blood clots. There's been people on here asking if you have a choice of vaccine I think and I'm sure I read someone saying if it was the AZ one that they were offered then they might not bother!

I watched the Covid press conference for the first time in many months. I saw Hancock give a lot of credit to the Oxford and AZ vaccine teams and deservedly so.

This pandemic has reminded me that it’s often more expensive to promote a free or at cost good than an expensive alternative.

NHS Scotland concerned over a spike in cases in Moray (around Elgin). A normally rural low area in past 2/3 weeks it has had 100 cases well over the past or the level in the rest of Scotland. Around 50% of the Grampian cases.

They are concerned about the Bank Holiday weekend and urging locals to be cautious.

What's people's opinions that covid marshall's are still being advertised for when all restrictions are supposed to be removed in June? These posts start in June and are for 6-12 months. I find it a bit disconcerting.
Boosters in October onwards and annual vaccinations henceforth.

I had the AZ also. I'm not one of the people that needs convincing. I think the fact that the goverment said that younger people would be offered an alternative to the AZ one, implies that there is something wrong withthe AZ one to some people. So they all then want a different one to the AZ one.

I'm definitely one who isn't sure. Early 30s and healthy... Surely not that different to someone who is 28/29? I know they have to draw the line somewhere but is 30 the right age?

I'm pretty sure it's higher in most of the other European countries so makes you wary.

Az and Pfizer both amazing imo..in science we trust
Major difference is AZ is about £3.50 a go, so provided at cost, with Pfizer and Moderna about £20. As money always talks, even in a pandemic, there should be no great surprise that there’s only one getting all the criticism......

I am back in Wythenshawe and feel as bad as I have been in my entire life. If I snuff it - please remember I was right.
Did they put you on any antibiotic? Because they did with my dad, and it was down to them why he ended up back in hospital 4 days later.
