Ok i can see that, but i guess they put the lockdown in place while cases were falling but then they rose after lockdown for two weeks, unlike us who only go into lockdown when cases seem to be rising??

It's the percentage in those age groups, not the total. The figure doesn't tell you anything about total cases, just the proportion in the age range

England hospital deaths.

I have not done this in a while as they were too grim.

But here the last 4 weeks with totals for the full week added to show the number of deaths as they stood at 5 days:

Wk 3 - 9 Jan = 3749

Wk 10 - 16 Jan = 4946

Wk 17 - 23 Jan = 5056

Wk 24 - 30 Jan = 4341

You can see here where the number peaked (19 Jan was the exact date - which was 787 at 5 days and is currently at 845 after add ons since then).

Both are the highest numbers since April.

The actual 5 day totals for deaths since 19 Jan are:

(787) - 721 - 708 - 690 - 666 - 675 - 691 - 658 - 618 - 650 - 596 - 453

That last 5 day number (30 Jan) is a bit of an outlier as the 4 day total of the next day (31 Jan) is 512 but even so it will likely still be in the mid 500s - and the two days behind are 488 (at 3) and 366 (at 2) - well down on the equivalent numbers 7 days ago - so the trend seems still to be down.

I’m in Stockport how have you been finding out how many people in the borough have been vaccinated ?

And fuck it, one more set of optimistic Israeli graphs. Let's facce it, we've seen enough doom laden ones over the past year.

Look how hospitalisations dive in the older, vaccinated population compared to the younger.

Anyone got a link to UK data for hospitalisations by age - would be good to see if first indications of our vaccination programme are visible yet.

You're entirely right. There's been so much misery over the course of the past year, if there's good news to be shared then go ahead, the more the merrier.

Picks up another 10 on Stockport's overall pop score lead cutting it to just 87 and catching them fast again as Stockport much out performs Stockport right now. Weekly Pop down 1 to 210. Best weekly Pop score in GM.

Bury 64- up from 53. Total cases 15, 025. Weekly 416. Lowest weekly total in GM. Pop score up 34 to 7867. Weekly Pop down 10 to 218.

Tameside 51 – down from 55. Total cases 15, 548. Weekly 535. Pop score up 23 to 6865. Lowest pop score rise today again. Weekly Pop down 21 to 236. Huge week to week shift means 42 points fall in 48 hours here.

Stockport the only place who had a bad day today with a bit of a week to week rise. Everyone else down week to week. Cost them another huge chunk of their lead in best Pop score across the pandemic to Trafford.

But all ten boroughs bunched in the 200s weekly pop scores so not in any real concern right now. And numbers still slowly falling week to week.
