Without trying to score any points, how do those who were vehemently against football being played during the pandemic feel now? I'm watching matches daily as I don't watch TV otherwise. Obviously I'd prefer to be back watching in person but I'd have fuck all entertainment if football had been forced to stop.

I would have been fucked without it.

GM Scoreboard:

807 - up from 736, 41.2.% of North West Total which rose by 202 to 1960. 0.7% fall on yesterday.

3 wks v 2 wks v last wk v Today:- 1365 v 1038 v 968 v 807 - Slowed up but still downward path.

Pop Score is cases across whole pandemic v 100,000 people - rises daily but lower the better.

Weekly Pop is same measure across last 7 days only. Can rise or fall depending on if more cases or less occur today v the same day last week.

Either way Up is bad, down is good.

Manchester 143 – down from 148. Total 47, 999. Weekly 1067. Pop score up 26 to 8682. Weekly Pop down 12 to 193.

Bolton 112 - up from 77. Total cases 23, 063. Weekly 776. Pop score up 39 to enter the 8000 club at 8021. Weekly Pop down 5 to 270.

Wigan 91 up from 78. Total cases 26, 177. Weekly 598. Pop score up 28 to 7965. Weekly Pop down 2 to 182.

Rochdale 54 - down from 68. Total cases 19, 049. Weekly 425. Pop score up 24 to 8565. Weekly Pop down 9 to 191.

Trafford 41 - down from 50. Total cases 15, 050. Weekly 325. Lowest weekly total in GM still. Pop score up 15 to 6341. Lowest rise of the day yet again. Trafford chomps a big 14 from Stockport's almost gone overall pop score lead - now just 25 and will fall in coming days to give Trafford all the 'best in GM' titles. Weekly Pop down 11 to 137. Best weekly Pop score easily. Only problem it has - there is little falling left to do from here on.

Pop Scores Today v 7 Days ago // Up/down over past week (lowest numbers best - numbers going up bad and going down good)

Trafford 137 v 193 // down 56

Seven of the 10 boroughs now in the 100s and nobody in serious trouble. Trafford heading for a sub 100 weekly pop number last seen for any extended period in GM in September outside just before Christmas for a few days in Trafford.

I'm still vehemently against football being played with no fans, haven't watched any games (don't watch TV football) but I was wrong to begrudge anyone else the enjoyment of watching, and have loved seeing the Scouse capitulation.

So, sorry.

it really is amazing and the road out of this.
It is indeed. But try telling that to the conspiracy theorists who think this pandemic is a hoax and is all about controlling us and reducing the global population from 7.8 billion to 500 million - via the vaccine - to usher in a so called New World Order, and therefore want us to stay in lockdown forever more so they can say “See! I told you so!”.

They’re going to look beyond stupid when things start opening up again and normality gradually returns. No doubt many of them will have the jab on the sly so as to enable them to go on their jollies too.

Cunts the fucking lot of them.

As sure as the earth is flat the nutters will still find some slant to push.

I agree mate. That said, it’s reassuring that the 93% and rising of the older / most vulnerable age groups have been vaccinated. The nutters might be under 75 but the flat earthers tend to standout more as a minority in recent weeks on social media etc.

Next season when we (Harrogate Branch) are hopefully back to running to a Supporters coach to games, we will have to decide whether we will let any adults on the bus who haven’t been vaccinated. If it it was just my call it would be a no (unless there were exceptional clinical grounds).
