LIVERPOOL 546 cases - up from 356. Total cases 28, 202.

Pop score up 110 to 5663. Weekly Pop up 86 from 281 to 367. One of the largest rises in NW lately.

WIRRAL 429 cases - up from 349. Total cases 12, 905.

Pop score up 132 to 3983. Weekly Pop up 89 from 403 to 492. Even bigger rise.

WARRINGTON cases 178 - up from 133. Total cases 10, 456.

Pop score up 85 to 4979, Weekly Pop up 56 from 339 to 395

All of these are ahead of everywhere in Greater Manchester.

Same with my borough - the last 8 days have been approx 340/350 twice, in the 400s three times, 120 on 25th, 170 on 30th, 44 yesterday, 422 today.

No clear conclusion possible, although it looks to have flattened.
Schools are closed. 30% of new infections gone. The 20% rise from Christmas will now fade.
Sadly schools can't reopen till kids are tested twice daily.
The same may apply to work places

This is why this country is in such a shit state, these idiots are useless when deciding on anything constantly going back on things that are plain to see. Shut the schools for a few weeks that’s a month off others it’s going to go through the roof.
Sadly our Civil Service anf Health Service are an incompetent top-down management organisation. It wouldn't matter who was on the bridge.

And they were still partying up to and including the 30th!

Interestingly lockdown acted as viral selection mechanism to boost the spread of the new strain at the expense of the old. What we did was reduce the spread of the old strain and promote the spread if the new strain. Most of the new cases being in school and in the homes that the school kids live in.
Lockdown reduced the spread of the old strain R0 to 0.9 but that left the new strain to outcompete the old strain with an R0 between 1 3 and 1.6. It won't go below one till schools are shut.
The only way to reopen schools is to test kids twice a day with the LF test and isolate children who test +ve till they have a -ve PCR test

And who the bloody hell is going to test all school kids twice a day, under the conditions for spacing required by the govt guidelines on school testing?

Do we have enough vaccine close the country down again and start calling people forward to be vaccinated, open up football stadiums to get people in, 55000 at the Ethiad in a day would be done, do that round the country and you are halfway there. No vaccine you don’t travel abroad, let’s see all these twats refuse it then
Mate, I’m not sure the numbers that could be vaccinated in a day at the Etihad is a direct function of the stadium’s capacity!

Our local coop has had all nine staff test positive and have shut for a day and got staff in from elsewhere. God knows how many people they have infected

There has to come a point soon surely where the r drops naturally as there are less people to infect as so many people who Interact with each other have had it? Must be close to half a million got it this week?

No but you get my drift if they can funnel people through 24/7 why not, I know it’s a little bit more complicated as I believe the vials don’t come individually but train enough people it gets faster

Such numbers would be achievable if we all mucked in together to deliver it, but certain sections of the emergency services are refusing to do it because they have had their pay frozen. Even though all the other ones have as well.

GREATER MANCHESTER SCOREBOARD

1418 cases - up from 1365. Out of NW total of 5164. 27% of NW total (down from 29% yesterday and 33% last week.)

3 wks v 2 wks v last wk v TODAY:- 672 v 510 v 846 v 1418.

Big increase in cases whilst % of NW cases falling.

MANCHESTER 284 - down from 311. Total cases 36, 155. Weekly 1454. Pop score up 52 to 6540. Weekly Pop up 29 to 263. Highest Manchester has been in over 6 weeks.

WIGAN 159 - up from 121. Total cases 19, 381. Weekly 806. Pop score up 50 to 5897. Weekly pop up 16 to 245.

TRAFFORD 153 - up from 123. Total cases 10, 660 . Weekly 764. Pop score up 64 to 4491, Weekly Pop up 32 to 321. Worrying rise for Trafford at its highest in nearly two months.

SALFORD 135 - down from 172. Total cases 15, 572. Weekly 642. Pop score up 52 to enter the 6000 club at 6016. Weekly Pop up 15 to 248.

BOLTON 118 - up from 70. Total cases 17, 267. Weekly 585. Pop score up 41 to enter the 6000 club at 6005. Weekly Pop up 16 to 204. Last GM borough under 200 goes over there.

BURY 114 - down from 115, Total cases 11. 842. Weekly 617. Pop score up 59 to 6200. Weekly Pop up 22 to 323.

TAMESIDE 112 - up from 103. Total cases 11. 965. Weekly 544. Pop score up 55 to 5288. Weekly Pop up 27 to 245.

STOCKPORT 112 - down from 139. Total cases 12. 745. Weekly 807. Pop score up 39 to 4344. Weekly Pop up 10 to 276. Better day for Stockport with lowest Pop score rise of day but still goes up in week because of week to week comparison. And in 8 days has moved from 176 to 276. Yet it also opened up a huge lead on Trafford for best overall pop score. Now at 147 after two weeks ago it looked certain Trafford would be Christmas number one.

OLDHAM 111 - down from 113. Total cases 16, 893. Weekly 578. Pop score up 47 to 7125. Weekly Pop up 16 to 244.

Nor would be the mass outbreak when you get 10s of thousands attending a single point daily.
You come in your car sit until moved forward social distancing, you have to think out the box. The area is big enough to accommodate the traffic. Even if you get it whilst sat in your car you come into contact with no one.

Don’t see the police doing it either, but thanks for the dig.

Israel will be worth looking at with their progression, they’ve vaccinated 10 percent of the population with the Pfizer vaccine. They are doing this 24 hours a day and have a population of over 8 million, they are not fucking about and aiming to be one of the first nations out of this shit show.

They Already have that Site just like that on the car park for testing ? Where would they do it, surely they wouldn't mix potential infections with the vulnerable coming from a Vaccine, its not like they can let you jab yourself, where as you can swab yourself in the car.

Just keep watching the Pop scores. 7000 is basically 7% of the population of that location have tested positive. So if anywhere gets into the 60,000 club we might be OK!

Seriously, of course, many people will have had it who were never tested. And we have no idea of the numbers. So yes we will be closer and yes there should be some impact from numbers even below the tipping point.

But rising cases and vaccinations over the next month or so might slow the spread by February hopefully.

Like I said you use the car park people stay in their cars you can’t infect someone from a car. At some point we turn away from testing to vaccination anyway as testing for it becomes irrelevant as we move forward with vaccinations

They will if and when told. Not a dig either. Just a fact. Help out with dishing out vaccines as an emergency service, not hard is it. Everyone else goes the extra mile in times of crisis. Take the Queens shilling, help the Queens people. You were the one who said you wanted the vaccine dished out large scale. Get out and help do it then
