More than half of my lads class been back for months. I driven by schools in the morning in Timperley and it was hammered with parents dropping their kids off.
My neighbours have 7 kids, 3 are school age, 4 are over 18 (3 of the 4 have moved out). Each week, the 3 return to the family home. I've then seen the 3 get picked up outside by partners sometimes or bring their kids to see their grandad/grandma etc. On top of that he's a trader, so has various different people coming into the house. I've seen them have friends over with their kids. The people they interact with do the same. No wonder we are fucked.Absolutely. Outside I see loads of kids and teenagers from different households mixing. Also adult visiting other households, some of my neighbours staying there hours. I'm not spying honest lol, I know this because if I look through the window if I go upstairs to the toilet their cars are still there.
So the lockdown has been over for a lot of people within the realms of what they can do but shouldn't be doing. Better weather would increase mixing, rules or not. I actually think there would have been a lot of civil disorder in the summer if restrictions weren't eased.
I think the odds of those people getting seriously ill are still low but when you ramp that up with big infection possibility, then you play the odds game. I'm largely ok with the roadmap, save a few things, but I can see it being delayedEspecially as the ones catching it the most now are the ones towards the back of the queue for the vaccine - 20/30 somethings pushing the boundaries out of frustration at months of lockdown and who feel their odds of getting really ill are small.
I do not know how we solve this problem other than dip toes in the water cautiously and hope we do not step on a box jellyfish. As we are.
Look forward to the time when these nut jobs that love lockdown are back in their boxSo you think the Vaccine roll out isn't going to be working by the end of April?
this is correct but before we do this its important that everbody has been offered the vaccine,we cant come from lockdown while half the 50s to 60s havent had a vaccinationBoris said something which was important and that was we can never have zero covid so we have to at some point learn to live with it and get on with our lives. He is correct. Vaccinate as many as possible and open up. Nobody is forcing anyone to go to a pub, a club, concert, sporting event or on holiday. People however should be given the choice. Those who want to stay at home can do so.
