You said once gardens and pubs will be allowed it will be a free for all for house parties.

there were many on here all last year arguing that the draconian rules need to remain because when you give an inch some take a mile.

I am frankly fed up of that approach and it is not sustainable to tell rule followers to lock up and have no freedom because of those who choose to ignore them anyway. Particularly when we in greater Manchester have only been permitted to mix with others for 26 days out of 365 and counting.

if it was not your intention then apologies.

I was just stating it as a fact. Garden visits and pub gardens will be allowed in the next few weeks - and very few will abide by social distancing measures and there will be house parties galore.

I’m beyond caring to report or look down on people for whatever behaviour now as it’s just not worth stressing over but I am weary of going back into another lockdown despite the success of our vaccine rollout.

Just watching the Holland match . There’s a fair few fans been allowed in with no social distancing ... I was under the impression Holland was struggling with a 3rd wave ?

Beer gardens haven’t shut, all the piss heads sit congregated outside passing the meths round

England Hospital data today is again odd. May be end of month audits as it occurred yesterday too.

Good news if you live in London or the North West ( both fell by a decent amount) but rather awful if you live in Yorkshire where patients shot up overnight by 25% - 155 patients - which means they have more in than 9 days ago.

This is baffling tbh and makes no sense as it is so far off trend - though Yorkshire is clocking up the most cases right now and has all week. Ventilators fell there as well.

There have been some odd ups and downs this week as those who read the full data I publish each evening (in an hour or so) will have seen.

But this had a big impact on the fall in patients. It was low yesterday due to a readjustment to numbers upwards in another region (South East) and now today this even bigger rise in Yorkshire.

Numbers still fell day to day from the other areas but less than usual because of this big adjustment up in Yorkshire.

Numbers fell in England by just 36 to 3676 today. For the first time less than 1000 down on 7 days ago (4589). Though the lower you go the harder the fall as we know.

Ventilators fell a little too by 22 to 537.

England Regional Summary:

SOUTH

Some huge falls here as you can see

East down 177 to 255

London down 118 to 383

South East down 206 to 355

South West down 63 to 206

MIDLANDS

Also big falls here

East down 141 to 453

West down 158 to 444

NORTH

The glitch messes up any meaning here as NE is minus and Yorkshire well down (partly impacted by the data) and North West down less so than most.

North East ??? (scored minus 576 on yesterday's total)

Yorkshire down 348 to 716 - some of which will be due to the cases removed as with North East.

And

North West only falls by 99 to 668 but just manages to stay second highest region behind Yorkshire
