Thanks everyone. In pieces tonight for no real reason. I’ll never forget my first game in 1990 at Maine road that that guy took me too, season ticket for 33 years now

My dad was admitted to hospitsl 4 weeks ago, he’s been on a ventilator nearly 4 weeks. He made progress but has nose dived, now has pneumonia, I don’t think he’s going to make it.

Doctors attribute it to the vaccine he had 48 hours prior sending his body into overdrive

that's an alarming development that it's provoked something like that, hope he pulls through and things like this get raised and dealt with as we can't have a vaccine killing people.

That sounds shit but try to stay positive if you can. He is in the best place and the medics will do everything in their power to get him better and back home. Fingers crossed he has the strength and determination to pull through.

More importantly, compared to 8 weeks ago they probably have a lot more time to treat him now.

Stay strong and positive @TINY you never know.

They have no other explanation. He was getting better day by day, then the vaccine which he was told was safe to have, 48 hours later he’s in hospital, 72 hours after vaccine hes in ICU. He messaged “bye”, then wanted to FaceTime to say goodbye as he was being taken in.

He was doing well but then completely 180’d and now hasn’t improved in a week. I’m trying my best to get in there, I’ve had a test, willing to have any tests they want to have ten minutes with him to have a proper word with him.

You have a very good reason. You have endured so much in a short time. I will hope for the best for you and your Dad, there aren't really any words to describe the hardships you have faced due to this virus.

Thanks everyone, I read this thread more than once daily, sometimes I write a post and don’t bother pressing post reply but I wanted to tonight.

If I get in there I’ll be sure to read your comments to him. He’s been such a healthy man all his life, never been above 11.5stone, never smoked, would walk 10 mile a day without issue with his local walking club, snd this cunting thing has shown no mercy at all

I saw a link to literally thousands of pretty horrific reactions to both vaccines, it gives numbers and data. I didn't post it here because I didn't want the stress of dealing with the usual suspects jumping on me telling me I'm a loon and a tinfoil hat nutter. This lockdown has had me on the edge as it is. For the record my sister and her husband had the virus so I am no denier. I also had the Astra Zenica jab myself in January. I have had some side effects which I still have and filled in the yellow reporting link but I've had no follow up other than a generic e mail. I just hope it works and we get back to normality soon.

My mum was in hospital for 5 weeks in November with double pneumonia. We got the call saying prepare for the worst but she pulled through and is still here 5 months later. She is in terrible health too and managed to come through. Where there is hope.....fingers crossed for you!
