Judging by the comments section, its readership is mostly anti-vax, anti-EU (especially French and Germans), anti-Meghan/Harry, anti-Biden, anti-immigrant, pro-Boris, pro-Trump, pro-Brexit and England First.

Not every article fits into one of the above categories but it's clearly targeted at that demographic.
No doubt. Right wing yes, and maybe not to your taste or to mine a lot of the time but it’s problem isnt that it’s aligned with neo nazis and the like, it’s that it’s a shite gutter-press sensationalist newspaper.

I just think it’s targeting outrage junkies and idiots cannot help but comment.

I am vaxxed 3 times, think anti vaxxers are wankers, definitely not anti immigrant but then I don’t really like Meghan and Harry, and I would like to put England first… so not sure what all that makes me.

Yep and they’ll ignore it and counter it with some theory of theirs.

The stats are a vital part of our response to Covid.

Removing them makes it a free for all.
You’ll never convince these eejits, the best thing to do is to ensure they’re not convincing the naive, by constantly showing them why they’re wrong.

Thankfully they are the minority.

Its why previously I’ve been so intolerant of flat earthers. They seem like harmless cranks but they convince the naive and then it’s the same ones that suck them into anti science conspiracy bollocks that becomes dangerous and life threatening like anti vacc propaganda.

Ninety percent of over 18s have had at least one jab so it’s a small but dangerous minority who have been brainwashed by the anti-vaxx messages.

There’s been misinformation from a range of perspectives during the Covid crisis. For example, the Guardian reading superiority merchants who spread lies that people were turning up at vaccination centres and only accepting AZ because it was a British vaccine. People who made these claims aren’t much different to those spreading misinformation in the Daily Mail comments sections.

In addition, there are people who loved the stats until several EU nations and New Zealand began to surpass us in terms of vaccination rates. I criticised the EU when they were dithering but times change.

Never bow to the morons. you never know what they can get the gullible to do.

Trouble is they aren’t morons they are manipulative, and have well rehearsed answers to to all the questions and reasoning put to them.
Morons in one sense I guess.

I agree though, the internet is a breeding ground for conspiracy nuts.

Did anyone suffer from tiredness for a while after their Covid infection? I’m 2 weeks post positive test and still very tired and have some breathlessness too.

It's a sad state of affairs that the Daily Mail is the most read newspaper in the UK. It's political agendas are so obvious. It's more like a propaganda mouthpiece to the far right.

Just read the headlines from COP....
The Metro is the most widely "read". Difficult to avoid I guess when 800 copies a day are strewn on every seat of every bus and every train. The Mail has monetised itself spectacularly well through its online presence mixing right-wing polemic with ephemeral bollocks that somehow appeals to the great and the good. The public gets what the public wants...

Came on in leaps and bounds as soon as I was allowed to play out. Bad back from doing nothing lasted a few days and it was maybe a week before I was back up to my usual 10 mile walks with the dogs. Just do a little more each day.

I had my booster yesterday...Pfizer after having had two doses of AZ. As with the other shots, I've had minimal reaction and just a very slight soreness in my upper arm. I had the flu jab nearly a month ago and that produced the biggest reaction but again nothing that bothered me.

It was slow going in the health centre as most people were a lot older than me and seemed to struggle with being given an information leaflet with their number on and being told to sit in the waiting area until their number was called :) I had a t shirt and fleece on so I was ready to rumble but most were dressed for a trek to the North Pole. Hopefully it will get quicker when they are doing younger cohorts.

China's new locally transmitted COVID-19 cases have spiked to a near three-month high.

Tighter curbs to contain the spread of the virus are expected in Beijing ahead of a key gathering of the highest-ranking members of the Communist Party.

The National Health Commission confirmed 93 new local symptomatic cases on Wednesday, up from 54 a day earlier.

You know this 'inserting the mobile into the scanner' thing? All I do is hold my mobile in front of the little half circle thing and then it beeps and lets me through .... why don't I have to insert my phone in? (Not that I want to just interested!)

Seriously, does anyone believe anything coming out of China? Less than 5000 deaths from Covid is propaganda. I reckon they let hundreds of thousands die in Wuhan in order to contain it early on.

I tested positive last Thursday, so now in day 7 of isolation, I was exhausted over Fri/Sat/Sun but much brighter since Monday and the worst of the congestion has gone, just a persistent cough which I'm told by NHS could last for weeks after I'm no longer infectious. Ironically I was due to have my booster on the day I tested positive.

Cheers, I hope you improve soon. The virus seems to impact each individual differently re the severity of the symptoms and it's not obviously related to how fit someone is. I'm 67, a bit overweight, had asthma all my life and I'm on tablets for high blood pressure so hardly a picture of health! I've no doubt the vaccines played a big part in helping reduce the severity but there's still a wide variation in the degree of the symptoms.

Yes mate. I tested positive 13/10 and finally negative 23/10, but developed pneumonia.

Went on a course of strong antibiotics, which thankfully cleared it, but still suffering from fatigue and short of breath.

Getting slowly better each day, and aiming to be fully fit again for the Everton game!

Vaccination to be compulsory for NHS staff from April.

Quite right too, in my view. A friend of my wife’s a district nurse visiting patients in the Bolton area and she won’t have it because she’s vegan and it’s been tested on animals!!!

WTF?? All medications have been tested on animals. She’s full of shit as she does lots of stuff in her personal life that breaks her ‘principles’ so as far as I’m concerned she gets vaccinated or she gets sacked.
