Excellent analysis. Explains why, while I'm very keen to get back to pubgoing, I'd much rather go in pubs where people have had the vaccine, and I'll probably avoid the pub crawl with the know vaccine denier for a while.Due to being vaccinated, your immune system doesn’t allow the virus to replicate in large numbers across numerous cells in your respiratory system. Therefore, your viral load will be much lower and your chances of spreading a large viral load to somebody else is greatly reduced.
A lower viral load in someone else gives them a greater chance to fight it off without getting ill. And greatly reduces their chances of becoming seriously ill or dying.
A lower viral load also reduces the risk of the virus mutating because it isn’t allowed to replicate and evolve into a new variant.
Multiply this across the population, and the risk of spread, illness, death and new variants is reduced.
