Boris said the rate limiting factor was the regulatory clearance of vaccine batches.I thought the Daily Mail man asked the right questions (what is needed to hit the 13 million), but was probably after more specifics than the broad featureless response.
If they get anywhere near the 13 million, the acceleration will have to be impressive. That's 2 million/week starting from now, and that makes the vial filling/QA the limiting step. It's 300/day per site on a 7-day basis.
I would not be surprised to see a comment from the NHS heads about the announcement about committing to it - that didn't seem to be the position yesterday, so expect either confirmation or clarification. Maybe 'committing to' is actually 'hope to' rather than 'guarantee', but that's not what is going to be understood by some who hear it.
No questions about teachers being promoted up the order yet, when it was JCVI recommendation?
The NHS can’t really change or “clarify” the PM’s committee to the.Country. That said, If the commitment wasn’t achieved because of delays in clearing batches, people would have to accept that.
