The longer this goes on the more convinced I am that covid was a leak from the lab in wuhab. In fact it seems MPs have been informed that this was the case.

I question the publics willingness to follow any further restrictions when it's clear that these end variants will keep emerging and the vaccine is ineffective.

The government have brought this on themselves with all the stories coming out about parties last Christmas. People will now be far more cynical about the necessity of any new restrictions on indoor mixing in particular.

Ultimately that is the current state of affairs though. That it’s been neglected for years is something that no one in the NHS would argue. They still have to cope with the reality of the situation, and that is that in a large part due to the systemic issues you mention, Covid does have the potential to overwhelm it and with a variant that is so much more transmissible, very quickly.

Getting jabs is absolutely about protecting the nhs. Reducing the admissions from covid, and cases within the nhs itself, is what allows it to continue operating for everything else.

That the root cause is due to endemic issues over decades is absolutely what people should be discussing and addressing as a long term solution. It doesn’t help deal with the immediate consequences though.

The heath minister sacked health workers for not having the jab, the result was that care homes could not staff the centers so shut down, most went into hospitals, a couple of days ago he announced tax payers money up to £400 million was to be used to bail out these private companies, guess what happens on April Fools day when he sacks all the non jabbed NHS staff, and the Shadow Health minister never mentioned it.
the big point is what for?, you can jab everybody that goes through the door and you will always be able to catch COVID in a hospital

it just confirms what South African Scientist Angelique Coetzee said, the virus is undoubtedly mild, generally, she was perplexed why we were questioning her assessment of the situation. I’m not that clued up on the rhyme amd reason of the current wave but when an expert tells you something you should listen and not throw doubt on absolute confrirmed data. I understand that other scientists have to confirm but I do think we are guilty of over egging the pudding.

The vaccine is fucking effective at what it does, it reduces one’s chances of serious illness/death by around 85-90%.

That’s more effective than the measles jab. Much more effective than the flu jab. In fact, it’s one of the most effective vaccines ever produced.
