Things are moving here which is a huge relief as my daughter gets her vaccine tomorrow (NHS) So it is starting to happen it would be great if they did the teachers then I could relax a bit more
Does the vaccine protect against the new more infectious strain?

Hope everything went well for you.
Thoughts and prayers for you.

part of a screening programme mate - had it done before and I am ok with it. I don't have sedation just grit my teeth and smash through it. Nothing much to report - couple of polyps they will keep their eyes on thats all.
Ask anyone who's had one - the very worst bit is 2 litres of moviprep the day before. A horrible oddly viscous laxative that you have to take to clear you out. Get through that and the colonoscopy is a breeze.
Thanks for the concerns though.

Thats good news.
Had it done about 20 years ago for a strange condition in the bowl that turned out to be an very mild allergic reaction to theeadworns that I didnt know I'd got off my dog. I chatted up the nurses apparantly while I was away with the faries.

Would not disagree with any of that.

I had a call from my boss in Germany today and apart from business we spoke about the vaccination process in our respective countries. He was scathing about the German roll out and he expects to get his first shot no earlier than the last quarter of this year (he is 50).

There is talk of Merkel being in talks with Russia to possibly obtain the Sputnik V vaccine and he said there is no fucking way he or his family would have that (or a Chinese one).

Our numbers will look unbelievable compared to theirs by the end of next week.
Did I hear it right in the press conference that the UK have done as many vaccines as the rest of Europe added together?

I do not mean that in a 'competition way' - I am just hoping that it means that we have got the supply lines sorted out and that we have been good at the logistics of getting the vaccines done - so we should be able to ramp up

My weapon of choice. You'll struggle to find a better legal quickie.

its drinking a vile liquid that doesn't get you pissed doesn't get you high but has the grim inevitability that you are going to shit through the eye of a needle very soon........ then there is the disappointment of opening the fridge, seeing the jug and realising you still of 3/4 of the 2nd litre to go......ugh.

Good bit of banter with Prof Rutter who was doing the deed ......a rag ... I did wonder at the wisdom about discussing the match the night before with a man who was doing what he was doing but he was magnanimous in defeat and waxed lyrical about King Colin.

so far it seems so. My aunt in Middleton has had both doses already and my Dad goes for his 2nd dose tomorrow - spoke to him earlier and he is made up - I had to remind him he will still need to take care
