Israel will be worth looking at with their progression, they’ve vaccinated 10 percent of the population with the Pfizer vaccine. They are doing this 24 hours a day and have a population of over 8 million, they are not fucking about and aiming to be one of the first nations out of this shit show.
Remember that many Israelis will have been trained in giving vaccinations via military training and they have mobilised a huge number of trained people to deliver the vaccine. Plus logistically it’s a smaller country to get the vaccine to the right places. More organised, better logistics and arguably a slightly more compliant population. Not sure why the military here isn’t sorting out logistics. That said I read we currently have just over 700 vaccine centres. If they all do just 200 vaccines a day that’s just under 1 million per week. Up the number of centres to 1,000 and its 1.4m per week.

Great idea, not , people going for vaccinations could have it and spread it
Yes, quality insightful thinking that. What would help is if clinics could be facilitated across the districts with set people attending at set times to be administered the vaccine by first aid trained members of the emergency services working on a rota that puts them slightly out of their way, but unfortunately some militant sections of the public sector emergency services are refusing to do so

They will if and when told. Not a dig either. Just a fact. Help out with dishing out vaccines as an emergency service, not hard is it. Everyone else goes the extra mile in times of crisis. Take the Queens shilling, help the Queens people. You were the one who said you wanted the vaccine dished out large scale. Get out and help do it then
No they won’t, you can’t tell a copper to give people a vaccine they ain’t the military. I don’t work for the queen either. I want it done properly by the right people. Thanks for the hand clap by the way.

Royal Volunteer Service are looking for people who are willing to help as Steward Volunteers :

The fight back against COVID-19 is underway and the NHS has begun what will be the largest vaccination programme in its history, and you could be part of the team that helps to protect millions of people.
Over the coming days and weeks even more vaccination services will be set up to enable the NHS to vaccinate as many people as possible, safely and quickly.

To help the NHS with this huge and important task, we are introducing a new NHS Volunteer Responder Steward Volunteer (COVID-19 vaccinations) role. As an existing NHS Volunteer Responder, we’re pleased to be able to invite you to apply for this role and join the team. (Please note: This is separate to the St John Ambulance clinical roles in the COVID-19 vaccination programme which you may have heard about.)

You are asked to commit to 2 sessions per month lasting 6 hours each

True, though not all sectors of Israeli society will be as compliant as others. Read in the JP that there is still lower uptake amongst the Arab population, and Israel is still using the double dose regimen.

”Health officials have stressed that the two-dose Pfizer vaccine regimen means that the vaccine is only fully effective about five weeks after the first dose. This means it could take until sometime in February for enough elderly and high-risk people to be vaccinated to help lower the spread of infection and begin further opening up the economy.

Moreover, the risk of catching coronavirus after the first jab has been confirmed in that some 15,000 patients who received the first dose of the vaccine were screened and 428 were confirmed positive for corona. Some 12 people were hospitalized. It is possible that some of them were exposed to the virus even before being vaccinated.”

I know about 8 people 3 ended up in hospital and one died and I live in a low population area, with quite low numbers of infection.
it hits home when you know someone who has died, i knew a 50 year old woman went in Blackpool vic for a simple procedure and caught it in there, 8 weeks in ICU vented and died
