Fucking hell, this country is grim. What a bunch of wankers. This country seriously needs a reform of the CJS, extra prisons and staff to run them American style. Fed up of sharing oxygen with these people.
I agree. We have always had a section of wankers.....but the country is awash with cunts, and they seem to be growing by the day.

Like you,i blame a poor justice system and a lack of any proper deterrent.

Those scenes are a fucking disgrace, nothing more than a moron convention and the most worrying aspect....the majority look like well dressed and normally respectable types.

I suppose it's possible but he had quite a few negative tests in between the two, and second time round his symptoms appeared at exactly the same time as his mates so it's very likely he caught it when he was with them. I think it's more likely that first time round it was a false positive.
It's very interesting either way.

Ultimately, I hope your lad is feeling better!

as I say. They deserve punishment.

but they are just a couple of thick planks trying to be funny rather than being threatening, just how I saw it.
So if it happened to you it would just be laughed off as a couple of lads having a laugh? the fucking scum should be charged with assault

Interesting comparison of the difference between the last big wave as it was rising that focused on the NW before it spread elsewhere during last autumn - pre any vaccines - and today where a similar thing is happening with widespread vaccinations.

27 October UK Cases 22, 885. NW cases 4937 (Manchester 443 Bolton 239 Stockport 208)

Deaths UK 367 NW 68

Patients UK 10, 938 Ventilated 903

Patients NW 2566 Ventilated NW 212

YESTERDAY UK CASES 22, 868 NW cases 4168 (Manchester 451 Bolton 121 Stockport 142)

Deaths UK 3 NW 2

Patients UK 1721 Ventilated 297

Patients NW 498 Ventilated NW 101

THIS is why it looks like we are in a very different place because of the vaccines. Even with a far more infectious variant.

Though as you can see the ventilator numbers are the one thing less reduced than we might hope.

So whilst the death numbers right now are massively better the risk of an increase here as it spreads must exist.

But it looks virtually certain this wave will impact far, far less than that one did. And the reasons are obvious.
Thanks for posting this. It’s a bit uncanny as believe it or not, just this morning I was thinking what the death numbers were when we last had 22,000+ cases in one day! The difference between them is even more stark than I thought.

Dutch have apparently given the green light to using Pfizer on all those aged 12-17. It had already been authorized for use with those with particular conditions, which I believe remains the position in the UK, but it will now be rolled out to all.

Zoe App data

SADLY IF ZOE IS RIGHT ANOTHER BIG JUMP MAY BE COMING TODAY

Predicted cases up today - by 1476 up to 24, 351

And even more so in ongoing symptomatic cases - up 16, 374 (5000 more than yesterday) to 301, 162 - first time they have recorded over 300K (which is not far off 1 in 200 having Covid in the UK right now).

Scotland still the dark Maroon band Range 420 - 1456.

North West still the only region in the next darkest red watch zone and has edged up again to 460 - 872.

But the changes in Scotland and North West do seem to be flattening off.

Two of the three regions in the band immediately below are rising

London up slightly to 346 / 633 from 316 / 594

NE & Yorkshire rises to 217 / 669 from 184 / 609

Midlands too on 216 / 617 - from 198 / 574

But South West edged up to 204 / 472 from 198 / 466

Every other England region is in the lowest light pink watch zone.

Only Northern Ireland is still white and no watch zone rating there.

Glasgow City is now the worst numbers in the UK rising well over Liverpool (worst in NW still) - Glasgow now on 22, 044

Aberdeen is back up on 13, 982 also.

In the North West Liverpool is still falling on 18, 391 from 22, 951.
Wirral has gone maroon and is climbing up to 8542 v 7206.

Preston is down slightly on 10, 712 ahead of much of GM.

Carlisle has climbed too up to 9181.

In GM Oldham is top but down a little on 16, 688 v 17, 192.

Manchester is down to second inching down too on 14, 301 v 14, 976

But Rochdale is third and rising on 12, 417 v 12, 038

Bolton has risen to fourth on 11, 399 - up from 10, 691

On fifth is Wigan upo big to 9974 from 5403

With Trafford up to 8994 from 8821 in sixth and Bury seventh on 8725 down from 9553

Tameside eighth on 8631 after a big rise from 6054

Salford on 8072 is next to the lowest now though very high - a big fall from 10, 927

Leaving as still the lowest in GM though having accelerated upward today into the upper watch zone:

Stockport on 5285 - a big jumpo from 3945 yesterday.

High Peak (5360) and Cheshire East (5097) - neighbouring boroughs - have tracked Stockport up into the lowest places of the higher watch zones as well.

This is a rather worrying reversal of numbers in GM over past few days back to where they were a week or two ago.

Let us hope Zoe have got this wrong. But they seem to be increasingly right in seeing things a few days ahead of the data from Gov UK.

In Yorkshire Leeds falls to 10, 361 from 12, 183
