That is clearly not what you said though. Please don’t post unsubstantiated nonsense in future, as it’s not really helpful to the discussion. Thanks.
Hes not totally wrong. The report i heard was 1 in 5 in feb were off but it was worked on total man hours and worked days.
so say there was 5mil man hours in feb there was 1m hours sick leave
(Made those numbers up but point remains)

100% TandT is wreaking utter needless havoc at schools and work places etc

it’s total nonsense, especially in schools . Where I live (alty) there are loads of kids knocking about during the day.

these are kids who are not able to go in to school due to their bubble being pinged so have to self isolate and not go into school.

Instead they just go into alty market with their mum for a coffee And nip into the supermarket.

am not sure that’s the point Of the self isolation rules.

edit. I should also say it’s even more nonsensical when the kids get tested twice a week anyway .
My nieces sch (c/hulme) has had a whole year closed. That many having to isolate theyve sent the rest home !
Wtf?

Doctors in the Netherlands reporting that almost all current hospitalisations involve people who have either not been vaccinated or have only been partially vaccinated. They’re also complaining, however, that nobody is tracking the specifics of these cases. For example, they are only keeping a record of whether a person has been vaccinated or not, or whether they have had their first or second doses, but not which specific vaccine these people have received. That naturally makes it difficult to determine how effective the specific vaccines are. Not sure how that is being managed in the U.K.

Maths prof rabitting on about exponential growth, especially for @True_Blue69 but also making the point that we do expect vaccination to impact this soon. It's somewhat disappointing it hasn't yet, to me at least.

Anything that could remotely be described as a "lock down" ended ages ago. Get a grip.
Agree normal life is pretty much normal and can see why some restrictions remain but to claim there are none is misleading my Dad died last week and trying to organise the funeral within current restrictions shows there are plenty left.
