My dickhead ex got double jabbed and a booster and STILL got covid.

The only thing I don't know about is if she wore masks when she was out. I suspect she did, here and there. I remember her telling me my lad's school was doing jabs to kids, permission bypassed. I told her that was up to her, so who knows how her infection happened.

That's what happens when you think you're "immune".

ENGLAND REGIONS TODAY V LAST WEEK

EAST DOWN 796 TO 4796 V 4068 - UP 728 IN WEEK

LONDON DOWN 414 TO 3928 V 3301 - UP 627 N WEEK

SOUTH EAST DOWN 367 TO 7347 V 6017 - UP 1330 DOWN BUT STILL WELL OVER THE NORTH WEST

SOUTH WEST DOWN 115 TO 6050 V 4870 - UP 1180 IN WEEK - ANOTHER SOUTHERN REGION WELL ABOVE THE NORTH WEST TODAY

EAST MIDLANDS DOWN 316 TO 3394 V 3438 - DOWN 44 IN WEEK

WEST MIDLANDS DOWN 602 TO 4295 V 4009 - UP 286 IN WEEK - BIG DROP HERE

NORTH EAST DOWN 219 TO 2037 V 1756 - UP 281 IN WEEK

YORKSHIRE UP 63 TO 3997 V 4147 - DOWN 150 IN WEEK

AND

NORTH WEST UP 96 TO 5089 V 5295 - DOWN 206 IN WEEK

AS YOU SEE THE NORTHERN REGIONS BETTER THAN THE SOUTHERN ONES BUT A LOT OF FALLS TODAY

GREATER MANCHESTER 1816 - PERCENTAGE OF NORTH WEST TOTAL:- 35.7%

YESTERDAY WAS 35.4%

LAST WEEK GM 1800 FROM NW TOTAL OF 5295 - 34%

SO UP ON LAST WEEK BY A LITTLE BUT BOTH CLOSE TO THE PAR SPLIT ON POPULATION.

GM boroughs weekly past 7 day case totals:

Oldham 755, Bury 786, Bolton 866, Salford 888, Rochdale 1082, Tameside 1098 , Wigan 1345, Trafford 1421, Stockport 1625, Manchester 1831

More changes as numbers climb almost everywhere - The main one is that Bury loses its long held lowest score top spot to Oldham who has been closing in for days. Bolton gained ground on Bury too.

Trafford fell well again. Manchester's lead over Stockport grew though both were up and is now 206 over Stockport who is itself are 204 ahead of the still improving Trafford.

Anyone who had AZ for their first two jabs had the Pfizer booster yet?

My younger brother had it yesterday. He has also had Covid last year. But says he feels much worse after this one than he did with any of those.

He is due to make the long drive to Brighton tomorrow - and the trek by train to the West Ham game next week - so I hope he feels better by the morning.

I know it could just be a coincidence and be some other bug and I have not read anything about this as far as I can recall. But wondered if anyone in here had experienced a bad reaction from the change of vaccine. It is a very differnt type to AZ so I assume works dfferently on your immune system.

Will not stop me having the booster when I am due but curious if this was common.
A friend of mine had double AZ earlier and his Pfizer booster yesterday and was floored for the day. He’s a bit better today.

I guess it shows the vaccine works.
