Oh that ought to be Ok (probably), didn't realise it wasn't in the stadium (didn't read the letter) she just said it was at the Etihad and I said I'd drive her there. Tennis centre ought to be doable. Thanks for the response.

Wait until you have your own water purifier, fuel cell and oxygenator mate.
Add a veg patch, a few pigs and chickens.
 
Wales vaccinations update:

264, 538 total first doses = 23, 991 yesterday.

47 second doses also given.



Similar numbers to yesterday. But snow is causing cancellations this weekend.

My mother received her vaccine here and said that there is a fair bit of walking once inside, but there are wheel chairs available for use .

why wouldnt it be practical. If you can shut some sectors of the economy down completely for 10mthans many others for several mths why cant we shut everything for two weeks. It would take some organising but I genuinely dont see the problem. The benefits would be enormous and we would be out of this much sooner. The alternative is another two or three mths of this misery, high positive cases and very high death tolls. I genuinely think its a no brainer.

Said all this from the off. U.K. governments handling has been piss poor and half hearted.
 
Look at New Zealand completely back to normal sadly for us that feels a lifetime away. I know you can’t really compare the two countries but you can compare leadership. Seen as though they get on top of it straight away whilst Boris initial plan was herd immunity and that mass gatherings weren’t a problem at first hence allowing Cheltenham etc

Why anyone is allowed to travel freely like this during a pandemic is beyond me. People going on these ridiculous trips is exactly why we’re in this mess.

How many of those who say how well New Zealand have done compared with the UK really understand why it is about 1000 times easier to do that there than here? For so many reasons.

Under 5 million people on two well separated islands versus 67 million here. With really only one major city.

A landmass that is 10% larger to fit in so many fewer people.

Thousands of miles and hours by plane from most big inhabited countries versus half the world's most populated countries all with differing government policies on our doorstep and an aviation gateway whereas you go to New Zealand if that is where you want to go - not a stopover.

Covid is a virus that thrives in densely habited locations where the chain of passing it on becomes hard to break if you let it get any kind of start.

Even in the UK many parts of these islands have had very low numbers - Scottish islands etc. Because they are more like New Zealand than the majority of Britain.

Not politics. Demographics of how this virus works.

Look at the Isle of Man - 100 miles off the coast of the place where many of the most infected areas in England have been for months. No deaths in 8 months and very few cases because it can do what the mainland cannot

All these arguments about how Britain is the worst have some foundation as we have not coped well.

But it has been obvious from day 1 that the UK would be a perfect breeding ground for this particular virus because of the factors of geography, climate, population density, ethnic diversity. and freedom of action allowed to our people.

You can learn lessons and maximise advantages and minimise disadvantages but you cannot just look at a table of numbers and say that means A did good and B was a disaster.
