No jab then no NHS hospital treatment. That would increase the vaccine uptake.

Really? The NHS isn't free. Most (though sadly not all taking out) have put in through NI contributions through their working life. That entitles them to use the NHS they have paid for. Contrary to their mistaken beliefs re jabs.

Think about your argument for one second.

Do we now lockdown every single time the NHS is under pressure or do we accept a world class NHS needs to be payed for and we elect politicians who will do just that with us taxpayers knowing we will have to pay for it?

I work to enjoy life and I pay my tax to ensure I have access to services, the NHS included and if I have to pay more, so be it.

I don’t work to be put in lockdown every time it suits!

I’m not reading all of those, a summary would do, but one mentions October.

Companies are going to be paying out a shit load of sick pay for the foreseeable.

Everytime you feel you've got a bit of a cold or flu, you'll be taking an antigen or Lateral flow test and potentially having to self isolate for 10 days. There will be a load of people that under pre covid circumstances would have a day or two off and only when the cold or flu was enough to make them consider a day or two in bed might be a good thing. Many work regardless and push through. Not to mention those that can't afford to be off due to lack of sick pay.

Is that sustainable for companies where the bulk of their work can't be done at home.

I’ve just tossed a coin and it came up tails, we are going to be just fine. It’s as good a plan as there is tbh. It seems no one can agree on much reading this thread. I don’t know if to go clubbing or hide in the cellar.

Fuck just realised I don’t have a cellar, is 5th ave still around?

I don’t work, I get fuck all as £19 a day is basically fuck all. Millions will be like me so telling me I have to isolate for 10 days is all good and well but when they then say, btw, we ain’t paying you I think I know what many are going to say and do…
